I called ticketmaster and scored 2 level one tickets after having no luck online.

perhaps give that a try?

Drip feeding availability of tickets is very ordinary customer service.

To the people who bought one today, did you use your Hawks barcode number, do you have a 17 game membership? Mine is only an 11 game membership and it won't accept the bar code. Tried my AFL members barcode (which gives entry entitlement to this game) and it accepts it, but doesn't matter what type of ticket I select (afl members, away area, general public) there is never a seat available.

Okay, thanks for all the responses - it appears as though they have set it up so that only 17 game memberships can buy a reserved seat in the away section.

11 game members and AFL members with Hawthorn club support will probably have to wait until Aug 5 when level 3 goes on sale. Seems a bit unfair. Maybe a few left over level 1 seats will be released sporadically as mentioned earlier but chances are they will be amongst Blues supporters.

AFL is a joke. Obviously Hawks and Blues were going to be 2 contenders this year which means about 80k of people want to go to the game. Yet the AFL somehow still manages to have the game at Etihad. to make it worse it is late in the season which means demand will be even higher

That being said, is there anyway I could get 3 tickets (doesn't matter what area) or are they all sold out?

IF someone is a 17 game member, they can buy themselves a ticket PLUS general admission tickets as well at the same time.

IF you just a general admission, you can't buy yet.

So perhaps people need to hook up with a 17 gamer and do a group buy.

Thats what I did but bloody Dasher and Echols stuck me with the $6 booking fee!

When do general admission tickets come on sale and where?

I only have an 11 game membership because I use my MCC more tbh.

I need 3 tickets and I would rather not pay $85 like they are on eBay

Blame the afl, not hawthorn

Not blaming Hawthorn at all (not even our home game). Just disappointed that the stadium knowing that it's going to be a 'sell out' refuse to release the cheaper seats for members to buy. $30 on top of a membership is very steep.

For AFL Members, tickets go on sale Friday the 5th of August at 9am. AFL Members can upgrade to a reserved seat for just the booking fee.

*Date has been corrected.
