honestly who cares.....
i think it looks fine, it looks pretty sleek (similar bottom tapering like the crows recent jumper), has the club logo, colours are, well white with black stripes. not a whole lot to discuss. oh and who gives a rats what eddie says about not ever changing the jumper... next topic.

Please. I know Cyril is very young and will only get better but at the moment I'd take Neon.

If you had to draft either of the 2 today to play for the Bulldogs next year and beyone you would take Neon 'i go missing' Leon over Cyril Rioli........spare me!!

Gibbs>>>>>DAYLIGHT>>>>Thomas:thumbsu:

As expected.

Seriously, don't waste your time. Has Gibbs won a match off his own boot? No. Has he played a vital role in getting his team into multiple finals series? No. Has he starred from day one? Nup. Is he, at present, a good, ordinary footballer with much scope for likely improvement? Yes. Is Thomas a better footballer than him right now? Yes.

It may only be 12 months, but please return when Gibbs has beaten Thomas in any of the above criteria.

for the sake of keeping on topic: LMFAO

Instead of scrapping the site with dribble, dispute what I wrote without the stockstandard 13-y-o stuff. Until then, Thomas>Gibbs, and the jury sitting on the Magpies' jumper will wait until it's used on match day.

Gibbs may not have directly won a game off his own boot, even though I cant recall Thomas doing this, but he has shut down some key play makers such as Cornes, Goodes and your 'golden boy' Shaw. Which effectively has aided us greatly in the final result (two of those we won).

The fact that he hasnt played in a final series yet has absoloutely no bearing what-so-ever on his talent.

No he hasnt starred from day one, but one thing he is, is consistent. Which cannot be said about goldilocks thomas. He dissapears for about 4 games, then he takes a hanger and he's all over the media again. Its a joke. He takes the attention away from your better players because he has a nice fake tan and long paroxided hair.

You can't say that Thomas is above 'ordinary', because no sane person can count a few hangers and a snapped goal as amazing, its good to watch but in the end its just a mark and just six points.

Apparantly I read it here first, in Hutchison's page in the Sun today. Is 30 percent lighter than the older one and has Pies logo on it

Yes, Eddie is a hyprocrite in some ways

He's adamant that the jumper of 100 years must stay. Yet he's reversed the black and white stripes and added a big splash of red for the sake of their sponsor

Not that I have an issue with sponsors logos - just with his rhetoric about tradition. Red has never, ever been part of their colour scheme. But it's OK if they make money out of it? ;)

Firstly, Ed has made himself quite clear that he is referring to the black and white stripes when he talks about not changing the jumper.

The Collingwood jumper has changed several times since the initial black and white stripes came in, basically switching back and forth from black stripes on a white jumper to white stripes on a black jumper. Subtle changes to collars and cuffs, number of stripes, width of stripes etc. have also taken place over the years. The current white stripes on a black jumper version is basically the same version as that worn by the Collingwood 'invicibles' as they have become known at the club, when they won the four flags in a row.

Sponsor badges have, as far as I know, never been considered part of the actual jumper or club colours.

What next, we blame Ed for doing away with the lace-up jumper!
