You think I give a damn what you think about Richmond?

Clearly you have shown in your initial post in this thread you know nothing, and severley over-rate a hack of a foward line.
I know nothing? Any unbiased football fan would not call Tarrant a hack. He may appear lazy and disinterested, but he's not a hack you clown. I think the guy down the alley way in Richmond is still waiting for you and I suggest you go back to him.

I mustve hit a nerve. So easy :D

Show me Tarrant's stats that display he is anything more than a hack?

You wont, because you cant.

Any full foward who averages less than 2 goals a game is indeed, a hack.

Enjoy.

Pretty mouthy for a supporter of a club that hasn't seen success since the personal computer was invented

Haha.. You win one premiership in over 70-odd years and all of a sudden you think you're Margeret Thatcher!
Lets not dwell on ancient history, lets focus on the present... you know, how crap you are and will always be and how we are the premiers :D

I think you should do a bit of research before you make silly comments mate. I used to play footy with one of Tarrants mates, and this year was a misery for him, at the start of the pre season the club found a cyst on the back of his knee which was not far off becoming cancer if they didnt manage it, it was on the back of his kicking leg. So just please read up on things before you make comments.

Our forward line looks good if they can all stay fit with no injuries, you have to expect some injuries throughout the year, thats just part of the game but i think that Rocca, Tarrant, Didak, Buckley can make the most of the difference.

I think it would be a good idea to rotate Rusling and Tarrant through FF and CHF. The one to watch will be Travis Cloke to see if he has the so called "2nd year blues".

With minimal injuires Collingwood are a better team that 15th, i would place them somewhere between 6th to 8th.[/QUOTE]

You cannot be serious....?

Collingwood are no where near a top eight side..... Plain and simple.

Well when Essendon get duds in Heffernan, Camporeale and Mercuri back to the club, we'll see how well you guys go next year and compare it to us.

I dont get it.... Does being lazy and disinterested not make you a hack????
If he dont pull his finger out, he will be finished in 2 years...

Im not running around stating that Essendon are the "top forward line in the comp" or "easily placed 6-8th on the ladder".
Essendon simply and purely rates at about 13th best in the league... Do you know why? Because that is where they finished at the close of last season....

Where does that place Collingwood? Just one above Carlton in my view.... But it was "Nathan's Hammy" or "Rocca's Groin" that cost you that elusive spot in the finals... Give me a break... Collingwood, like everyone else outside the top 8 on the ladder have one excuse

"THEY WERE NOT GOOD ENOUGH"... Until the end of next year... Then you may just be able to prove me wrong... But in reality.. Its highly unlikely.

oh iv heard of it, i just object to it being used in a "look how great our forward line is" as first forwards

if thats allowed, check out the west coast forward line

matera gardiner cox
cousins hansen judd

wow, 5 AAs and 2 brownlows. best in the league by far
Buckley will be a full time forward now. That's basically where he played in every game since his return, aside from the Sydney game, and he averaged 21.4 possessions, 8 marks and 2.2 goals a game doing it.

We're not just putting him there for posterities sake, he really is going to play full time in the forward line.

Let's have a look at it.

Half Forward: Buckley, Rocca, Fraser
Full Forward: T Cloke, Tarrant, Caracella

Part time forwards: Rusling, Didak, L Davis, B Holland, Egan.

That's a pretty awesome forward line and there are not too many defences in the league that could contain all of them. If that forward line stays together, expect a big year from the Pies. It's a perfect mix of talls, mediums and smalls with both pace and bulk.
Add in a Kennedy or a Ryder from the draft, and a quality midfieldier to help with supply and Collingwood are looking pretty good.
It's a handy forward line, but not the best IMO.

Your last sentence I would disagree with - since when do the Pies have a quality midfield? ie. I doubt that your forwards will get enough service from your lack of quality midfielders.

I was meaning we pick up a quality midfielder in the draft. I acknowledge our midfield is not great.

The Pies need more than 1 quality midfielder, the need plenty!! ie. A whole overhaul of the midfield, which I doubt will be anywhere near the likes of West Coast next year ... & hence a long way off becoming a grand final contender.

Collingwood's forward line ranks with one of the worst in the league. Rocca and Tarrent, even when they are fully fit, aren't as great as Eddie McGuire thinks they are. Caracella, is an adequate player but due to Collingwood's poor form, he was made to look much better than what he was.

The Pies need plenty of midfielders, not just one!

For me, St Kilda has the best forward line, then the Demons. The Saints have guys like Riewoldt, Gehrig, Milne, Hamill, Koschitzke and Dal Santo and the Demons have Robertson, Neitz, Davey, Yze and Cameron Bruce.

Brisbane are at a rebuilding stage compared to other years. Brown is a great forward but one great forward doesn't mean you have a quality forward line. Bradshaw isn't very consistent, Merrett only gets two or three touches a game, Brennan has been injured and Corrie and McGrath despite the qualities, lack consistency and experiance.

West Coast really needs a full-forward, especially when they have Quinten Lynch, who is horses*h*i*t! Ashley Hansen has been playing well at centre half-forward and when they are fit, Matera and Sampi are quality small forwards.
