Is Collingwood's Forward Line The Best in the League

I think you should do a bit of research before you make silly comments mate. I used to play footy with one of Tarrants mates, and this year was a misery for him, at the start of the pre season the club found a cyst on the back of his knee which was not far off becoming cancer if they didnt manage it, it was on the back of his kicking leg. So just please read up on things before you make comments.

Our forward line looks good if they can all stay fit with no injuries, you have to expect some injuries throughout the year, thats just part of the game but i think that Rocca, Tarrant, Didak, Buckley can make the most of the difference.

I think it would be a good idea to rotate Rusling and Tarrant through FF and CHF. The one to watch will be Travis Cloke to see if he has the so called "2nd year blues".

With minimal injuires Collingwood are a better team that 15th, i would place them somewhere between 6th to 8th.
not far off being cancer ? Sorry mate doesn't exactly work like that.

Betts= an extremely poor man's leon davis???????????????

This thread has gone from bad to......... God, who knows...

Leon Davis!!!!!!!!!! The guy has played what? 2 maybe 3 really good games in his Career??????
Next you will be telling me that Davis is up there with Farmer, Matera etc as a premier small forward in the comp???
Dave Rodan had a better season than Leon Davis... And he didnt play... Leon Should have done his knee... At least he would have an excuse...
Betts would already be sitting well above Leon Davis in the Small Forward category....
Stick to worrying about your ageing list and recruiting past-it hacks.

Very good point... Its just a shame that we dont have 3 Clokes and 12 Shaws to recruit... My god.. You want to talk about hacks....?

Excuse me, that is not decent. Simpson= poor man's stephen patterson
Betts= extremely poor man's leon davis
Whitnall= fat c***
Fevola= disinterested derro who can't get a kick
And the jury is still out over Waite and Fisher, and neither will have a major impact as a forward.
Patterson, Davis, yea right. What drugs are you on.

Any unbiased football fan would realise that collingwood's forward line is far superior to Carlton's. FFS, if you want to bag collingwood, at least make it realistic.
Waite, Fisher, Lappin, Whitnall, Fev, Betts. Collingwood's is good when all there but far superior, don't think so. It's the one thing in our team that's any good.

Ironic when you think about it, they talk about the importance of a good forward line. Collingwood have Tarant and Rocca etc..., Carlton's have the above, they finish 15th & 16th. If the WCE have have half those forward lines they probably would've won a flag. Demonstrates the importance of a good midfield.

Carlton's forward line is 16th in the league, exactly why you were 16th this year and will be again next year. The only reason we finished 15th is that there was not one game this year where that whole forward line played together.

One thing for sure I'd want our forward line ahead of yours. It's the area I'm happy with at Carlton, even when Fev spits it. Suppose you did lose lose Rocca, which didn't help. Our biggest problem is from the midfield back. Our defence was absolute crap, If it could be 20th in a 16 team field it would be.

There's no point arguing with a delusional carlton supporter.

O'Keefe Hall Davis
J.Bolton O'Loughlin Schneider

These guys all have something in common... I just can't quite put my finger on what it is...

I gather that you missed the post about dropping a midfielder into the forward six to make it look better? I agree with that post. Especially in this case. JBolton played one game up forward this season (Hawks), it's not his area. Davis should also be a midfielder.

Not even in the best 12.

Our forward line is easily in the Top 12. If you weren't doing drugs, you'd somehow agree.

The Dice Man said:
Tarrant - Hack.

How can you say he is a hack?

He has proven he is one of the talented forwards going around in the AFL when on-song, and next year he would prove it to you. You'd also love him if he was at Richmond.

The Dice Man said:
Fraser - Hack.

Fraser is no "hack". He has still got plenty of good football in front of him, and if he wasn't struck down by injury this year, we could have seen him play very good football. Next year would be Josh's year.

The Dice Man said:
Buckley - Twang.

This comment you have made has made me certain that you are an idiot. Since Bucks has been back from injury, he has looked dangerous playing a new role in our forward line. He has been a champion over many years, and hopefully he finishers of his career on a good note.

The Dice Man said:
Rocca - Servicable.

Rocca is far more better then Richardson and Simmonds. He is the barometer of the Collingwood team, and he can certainly win a game off his own boot. Hopefully Rocca proves to everyone why he is a very good footballer, because all of the Collingwood supporters know how good he is.

The Dice Man said:
Caracella - Part time hack.

Caracella is more then just a "part time hack". He can be very good on his day, and he certainly is a better footballer then what you put him out to be.

The Dice Man said:
Cloke - Done nothing.

Cloke, done nothing? Yeah, right.

Cloke has shown tremendous potential in his first handful of AFL games. He is a certainty of taking over CHF after Rocca retires, and he would be a very good player for this club over a long period of time.

The Dice Man said:
Didak - Over rated.

hahahahaha, your the joke mate.

Didak is a very dangerous small forward. Daicos-like abilities, he definitely knows how to find the goals on numerous occasions. He is a match-winner, and he will be a superstar.

The Dice Man said:
Holland - Fiddler.

If you pay any attention to Collingwood games, you would find Holland has played most of his football in the midfielder this year. I think his best football is in the midfield, but he is a handy forward as well.

The Dice Man said:
Davis - Hahahahahahahahaha.

Davis has been inconsistent over his AFL career so far. We can only hope he can show consistency, but when he is on-song, he is exciting to watch.

Don't worry, mate. Once we draft some excellent-speedy midfielders, we would be very hard to stop for sure.

Our forward line would rate in the Top 4-5 in the AFL.
Our defence would rate in the Top 2 in the AFL (probably is the best).

You're exactly right, but I wouldn't bother arguing with that clown.

It's a good forward line, but it has the 'potential' tag hanging over it's head. Too many players yet to prove their consistency or brilliance in the game. Rocca and Buckley aside, they will be unpredictable.

In terms of balance, I think Melbourne has some good options

Yze Neitz Davey
Robertson Miller Pickett/ Holland/ Green/ Bruce

But like Collingwood, there will be too much reliance on the fitness of our captain and vice captain.

Peabrain, you're talking about Collingwood's forward line being the best in the comp. There's only one person here that delusional, and I think that person might be you. All I said that ours was better than Collingwood's, you actually think you're p1ssant team has the best FL in the comp!!! Come back and chat when you get out of the psycho ward.

The AFL ladder totally blows you out of the water. Carlton's forward line 13th in the competition. Collingwood 16th. 16th defence, we accept but I'm afraid not the 16th forward line. Better luck next time.

And Boof said I was delusional, look at Collingwood's attack, way worse than everyone else bar the Hawks, and it's supposedly the best in the comp! Even allowing for Rocca's absence, that's crap. We now know who the delusional one is!!!!

fraser = quality tall???????
c'mon mate, he's tall but you couldn't cassify him as quality.
essendon have lloyd, lucas and hille. there's three quality talls going on the way that the word quality is lightly being thrown around...
add hird, lovett and rioli and we'd have to come close.
definately not a lay down mazare
you rate d.hille a a quality tall but not j.fraser??

why exactly??

josh has produced much more quality football & has shown he can play well in big finals games......what the feck has d.hille done??

essendon good forward line
lloyd, lucas, hird, lovett, rioli???
rocca, tarrant, buckley, carraclella, t.cloke, j.fraser

j.fraser has done more than d.hille & laycock combined.....but jury already decided fraser is a hack & hille & laycock promising ruckmen....whata joke
