There hard to win. They have class all over the field. Window is open for another 3-4 years.
But they should have one at least one flag already.
Mumford's always been important for them in that, and Greene is vital and De Boer important too.You need to get some see you next tuesday into your team. Skills arent everything - obviously

But the young Giants had attitude and a game plan that involved them putting that attitude on show and playing to their skills. It wasn't perfect but geez they went close in 2016, one bounce of the ball and they beat the Dogs and I reckon beat the Swans silly in the grand final.
They haven't reached those same heights since and right now don't seem to have any swagger or aggression in taking the game on.
He’s got the right for an opinion. And his point is valid. You’ve got the most talented list in the AFL by the length of Flemington and you continue to disappoint. Comparing Adelaide to GWS is a ridiculous argument when you take into account the amount of talent on each list. The fact your footy club still hasn’t won a premiership with the amount of talent you’ve been gifted is absolutely farcical.I’d concentrate on your own back yard

They are a massive let down..
They need to start f*n winning.
our draft concessions ended 7 years ago. We started with no players, you have to provide concessions to build a team. And we still have to stay under the Salary cap. Our early picks since have mostly been due to trading out players. We have had to let go of so many players due to cap restrictions. He’s got the right for an opinion. And his point is valid. Premierships are hard to win. The last 3 years we have had a squad capable of winning, but got to the finals with a lot of injuries. In last years finals series we had all of these guys out
Ward
Cognilo
Patton
Delidio.
Plus a few depth players
We also had Greene and Whitfield miss in the final series and Davies got injured in game. It doesnt matter how good your list is, that sort of injury list is going to kill you.
The team that won the prelim had 6 of our best 10 players out. No wonder we had nothing in the tank and got pumped by a very good team on GF day. reverse the situation, and take 6 of Richmonds best, plus a few depth players, it is a different result. (not at all suggesting they were not deserving. just saying alot has to go right to win a comp)
we has similar issues in 17 & 18 as well.
I posed the exact same question to the BF public on the eve of GWS's preliminary final victory over the Pies last year (click here to see that thread) and the notion was quickly shot down as rubbish with the thread getting locked pretty quickly. Now it's time to revisit the question. Two pretty questionable losses to North and the Dogs in the last two rounds has led to the Giants currently sitting 12th on the ladder with a record of 1-2 and a very difficult fixture against the in form Magpies coming this Friday night. The Giants could very well find themselves with a record of 1-3 after 4 rounds and possibly fall into the 14-16 range on the ladder if results don't go their way. Following the Collingwood game, the Giants face Hawthorn at home and Port Adelaide away. There are also growing rumours about significant GWS players like Jeremy Cameron potentially exploring their free agency options at the end of this year.
So, let's try this again. Is GWS's premiership window on the verge of closing?
Tell me more about this theory. Then we dig deeper and look T those injured players- why recruit injury prone players like Deledio for instance? And you wonder why he breaks down?
Tell me more about this theory.
From the list of unavailable players in the 2019 finals series, which players had question marks on their reliability before coming to the Giants?
Was he though? He was super durable his entire career for Richmond except for 2016.Deledio is a massive one especially the price they paid

Is the the one and only example on your deeper digging?
Hmmm...not sure there were many questioning his recruitment at the time.He was injured when he arrived at GWS..and with a history of soft tissue injuries...and you wonder why he breaks down...could they have used that pick to get a good ruckman for instance? Didn't make a lot of sense at the time...
A fit Kreuzer would be amazing for us. Don't think it would happen.

Well you could have drafted Grundy you know rather than taking about 10 picks and still not taking him...a howler of epic proportions there
