Umpiring was woeful.

Dogs would have still won probably. But it was shocking.

Plus bulldogs are now the premier ducking team in the competition.

I don't think they would of Dogs got some pivotal goals at crucial stages in the game that halted Swans momentum thanks to poor frees, 3-4 goals were due piss poor decisions by umps. Also a LOT of non called incorrect disposals and HTB decisions when dogs players were being tackled.

I raise you to say the AFL, NRL, FIFA and the IOC are all corrupt, it is all part of a sports administration conspiracy to take over the world.

Seriously, mods close this thread.

And for the legal beagles out there my comment about corruption is meant tongue in cheek...

Home ground advantage to the dogs, Melbourne crowd, they got the rub of the green.

Same thing happens in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide..

Home teams often get that.,

But we're always told the GF is a neutral game...?

There's no doubt the umps were barracking for the Dogs yesterday, but I don't think the AFL instructed them to.

LOL yeah I'm sure the AFL, who has given Sydney the COLA, academies and everything else possible to keep em strong for 15 years so their crowds don't fall off were in a conspiracy to help a small Melbourne club win etc. Give me a break. Their wet dream would have been a GWS-Sydney final and WE STUCK IT RIGHT UP EM ALL. DROVE A BIG OL' TRAILER TRACTOR ALL UP IN THERE

No, if it was corrupt the AFL would do everything they can to enhance their best interest. The fact that GC and Brisbane have been non-factors while a club situated in the western suburbs of Melbourne (not notoriously a wealthy people) were able to win a flag despite all the concessions given to the expansion clubs clearly shows that corruption is impossible.

Up till 3/4 time the Swans had 1 free excluding the 2 OOB's.

Dogs had 15.
It is - but did you exclude the OOBs that the swans kicked?

Also - I'm not sure how the FKA stat works. A few questions:
When the swans were giving away those 50m penalties - do they count as free kicks? The swans were grossly undisciplined in this area and I think it also translated into sloppy tackling at times as well.

There were quite a few times when the dogs would take a mark and then a swans defender would make high contact and called a free kick. Do these get recorded as free kicks? Because they really have zero impact on the game.

The AFL are no cleanskins, that's for sure. But on a world scale of fully professional, high profile sporting leagues, they would be one of the least corrupt.
