I'd love to see him pick up a Rising Star nomination before the year is out. He's certainly got the quality to be noticed. With just 3 H&A games left in 2020 for Collingwood it's a case of now or never for him, as (provided he plays even one more game this year) he won't be eligible next year.
He doesn't need one but he would be deserving of it.

Yeah, he backs himself every time and doesn't seem to ever get caught. Plays like a veteran half-back
The positive news, he will get better.

I was a little unsure when we drafted him, not any more, kids a keeper and plays with an old head on him, poise and confidence to go with execution.

The beauty of our backline is that they can all plan an opponent as well as hurt offensively.

If you compare that to the Bulldogs for example, all their players are attacking but not great defenders...such as Johannisen, Suckling and Daniel.

Quaynor, Maynard and Crisp are great 1 on 1, but also very impressive offensively.

Moore and Howe are also super attacking defenders, whilst able to shut out their opponent as well. It's such a unique and effective defence. It's just a matter of getting it on the mark more consistently. Let's hope Howe can get back for finals as he is the biggest weapon of all.

Love how he attacks the corridor.

Would love to see what value he brings on the wing/through the middle
I don’t get the obsession with him on the wing tbh, him playing in the backline allows him to attack the corridor, the wing would force him out wide too much.

Reminds me of Guy Mckenna, already makes good decisions, can take a hit and has excellent skills even under pressure.

No sign of him being a DH and seems smart so may well be our backline leader.
And doesn't have 'causes' or a burning desire to meet the Dali Lama.

I think at the moment his best position is half back, but we have a lot of half back men and need to find someone with flexibility. Of our defenders he has the best delivery to our forwards.

Um, both are half backs with lots of run and carry and kicking penetration?

Do you mean half backs with run and carry like Heath Shaw? Ben Johnson? Ryan Lonie?

My issue is more the derogatory swipes at Lumumba when there's no reason to bring that up. Or that somehow there'll be issues if Quaynor supports "causes" which is normally a good thing.

I actually asked if he reminded anyone of Heath Shaw a few matches ago and the resounding answer was no. Ben Johnson had the ugliest left foot and Lonie would miss matches with paper cuts let alone the gash IQ had.

Look no issues comparing footballers and how they play.

I mean Noble and Quaynor play a very similar style of penetrating football. Don't think Noble will have the baggage of not associating with "causes" and Dalai Lama.
