They didn’t lose tonight from lack of effort. They were cooked. They just made mistakes.

They also rolled over against St Kilda, GWS and Port. I'm sure I'm missing a game or two as well.

And we absolutely rolled over today, only we did it after one quarter and Richmond were so poor that it took them ages to actually get in front.

I couldn't disagree more. You're just letting the team off the hook. We were absolutely putrid in this game. Richmond were there for the taking by any half-decent side.

The truth is we've been very very poor all season and have deserved nothing more than we got. Injuries are a weak excuse at this point and luck has nothing to do with it. Good teams make their own luck. We've been shockingly soft, both mentally and physically, as well as tactically and skill-wise. It's just so easy to get over the top of us these days. It's not really excusable for a team that made the Grand Final last year. Horse needs to go and the list needs an overhaul.

I don't disagree that you make your own luck, and there have been some individual mare moments that lead to it. But it hasn't been the case overall, it's a fine line and alot of it came down sheer shit luck going against us.

Rampe just seemed to take the worst option all night. Just needed to try and kick that goal - he has a long leg too. Actually barring Melican our entire defence looked average with ball in hand.

Midfield got pummelled in the 2nd half, Hopper, Tarranto, Prestia and Martin just doing as they pleased. Won it off their backs. Really noticed how much structure and organisation Lloyd provides when he's not there. Good exposure for Sheldrick, reckon we really missed Warner in there tonight. Rowbottom not impactful enough, thought Parker was very good and Mills okay but a bit rusty still.

Blakey was terrible, for how good he's been this season you give him a pass but he was incredibly off tonight.

Bug Sheldrick on Dusty? Really? ****ed. Whoever dreamed that up is an idiot. Horse is Head Coach. He is responsible for this shit

Nankervis, Dusty, Tarranto, Hopper, Prestia and Bolton is a pretty damn good midfield. Dusty has quietly been much much better the last month but nobody seems to have noticed. That's where the game turned and was lost.

Yes, we went to Buddy too often. But I think we're ignoring a greater problem there. Nobody else presented as consistently as Bud.

McDonald went missing in the second half unfortunately. Neither McLean or Hickey were able to have much of an impact when they weren't in the ruck.

It's a concern.

I believe that if you purely watched the forward line structure and leading patterns with and without Buddy, there would be a massive difference in space, separation and delivery
