Did something to his ankle earlyWas Rowbottom injured?
I couldn't disagree more. You're just letting the team off the hook. We were absolutely putrid in this game. Richmond were there for the taking by any half-decent side.Weird weird season. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. Injuries, bounces, shanks to take the lead, strong wind gust on after the siren kicks... Plain odd. I dead set don't think we've been playing that bad. If anything I think we've been holding our own for the most part.
We are literally s**t luck away from being on the cusp of the top 4. Horse and the players just needs to see the remainder of our games as an extended preseason and crack it out. Weirdly enough I don't think our season is done. We can win our next 4.
Mills back was brain dead.
Tall as sub was another brain dead choice.
Going defensive from the third.
Not playing to conditions ie, over handballing when the ball is slick.
Imo that's the whole leadership structure. Having 13 captains just allows them all to pass the buck with no accountability. You need a sole person that is willing to stand up and lead, take responsibility and set the standardsJesus Christ, is it hard for any of the players to go some genuine passion and care?
Nankervis sends Lloyd into next week and there's no remonstration or fight from any of the players. Softest team/leadership group in the AFL.
Buddy was arguably our best KPF tonight - not that he was dominant. McLean did very little and Logan did nothing. Thought I can’t help but feel that as a forward line functions better without him.I think the sooner the club moves on from buddy at thus point the better. He just feels like a makeshift piece in the team now. An immediate retirement after a packed scg game to show their respect should be the decision now
I do agree that this is a team you can't go defensive with, our strength is in breaking the lines. But don't agree with the fresh voice bs. Our overall structure and discipline to keep cracking in is thanks to his leadership. There is no way I could ever see this team not playing for him.Horse can go and get ****ed. This team no longer play for him. He made all the wrong decisions today. Francis as Sub. Mills back. Going totally defensive is a real problem. This is not a team you can do that with. He totally killed us tonight. Very bad coaching decisions. Add to that the fact he has no answer to another side's momentum except putting Mills, our biggest mid, back.
I think Horse is out of ideas and we need a new voice who can grow with our young group. One who recognizes the talent and how to best use it. Unfortunately, Horse is not getting the best of of our boys. Richmond are a very ordinary side and we made them look good in the last half. A back kicked 2 goals for *'s sake when changed forward because stupid Horse did as he always does and put Mills back.
I believe Horse's time has come. Today we should have won. But after half time he had no answer for a Rookie Coach's moves. He made a huge mistake by making Francis sub.

the way they just roll over at the first sign of any adversity
Yes they targeted players to injure alright. That was obvious when Nanka went for Lloyd. They went for Logan, Hayden, Ollie and Gus as well as Rowie who went off as well with a head high hit.How many players were injured in contests in the 2nd quarter as the Swans run dried up completely.
Disappointing end to a promising first half by the Swans. I suspect there were a quite a few injured players out there tonight. Lloyd's concussion robbed all run from behind and the panic down the line kicks from defenders turned the ball over continuously in Richmonds favour.
i thought Swans composure would win over Richmond's chaos, although the composure went missing in the 2nd half. Too many players spent all their tickets and there was no run in the last quarter. Fitness seems an issue this year with an inability to run out games.
Richmond were handballing all night like it was a dry ball, our problem is we get caught flatfooted, their mids gave us a master class.
They panicked. Like they did last week. They couldn't force a score when they needed to. It's poor and it's becoming a habbitThey’ve rolled over twice this year - against the Demons and the Cats.
They didn’t lose tonight from lack of effort. They were cooked. They just made mistakes.

Even if you brought someone in to try and extract some sort of extra performance, it would be miniscule. The possibility of another coach losing cohesion within the squad would be much more likely.
We are lucky its not Sam Reid, just not quite fit but close.
- We keep playing KP players as the sub, and it never works. Ridiculous from the match committee to keep making this same mistake over and over how hard is it to get the sub right? Seriously
- The difference in the game was literally the fact for whatever reason we have to concede a last minute goal in every ******* qtr.
- Errol best again and will win the B&F easily.
There are not. This Tigers team is ordinary. We lost to a very ordinary team with lots of injuries. Sorry. But time is upWe did fairly well close enough.
Felt there were plenty of great signs going forward. Loved Gulden’s game
Yeah they just were powerful and clean. Our mods were reactive and fumbly.
Lot of whinging about the gameplan, but I don’t think it was a gameplan sort of night. Usually our answer to Richmond’s chaos is to maintain possession with marks, but that wasn’t really an option.
What would people have done differently?

I agree. Again we went to Buddy 54% today. heckGive buddy his farewell games, ditto for hickey until ladhams returns then its time to move into the post buddy era.
Logan MIA with Buddy in the team.
