Loved the way he attacked the ball last night and the second efforts.

Again, probably wont be a world beater and still a bit short to be a first ruck but at least gives his all and is an upgrade on anything we had ruck wise.

At the end of the match he looked a bit lost trying to leave Etihad. Loved the mullet though, he has bought some of the Adelaide over with him.

Good to hear you guys still think so highly of him - was obviously a good person to have at the AFC.

At least we both won out of this trade. All the best to the AFC for 2012 :thumbsu:

Ivan always surprised with the odd big clunker timely mark. Didn't see him last night but went alright I hear. He bobs up with the odd forward mark and goal too, ...and for god's sake get out of the way if he's coming at you. I hope he rips it up for Richmond.

I genuinely want Ivan to go on to be great player for the tigers. He deserves a chance as a first ruckmen and I want him to surpass the player he was at Adelaide.

So much can be learnt from Ivan with regards to how to behave at a club, and when leaving a club.

Yep, my sentiments exactly too!!!

Only watched last night to see how big Eeeevvvaaannn went!!

Struggles in the middle due to his lack of height but is a great Ruckman at the throw ins and around the ground. All the best to big Ivan. Will be watching.

If Vickery ends up being anywhere near as good as they are touting him to be, I think they'll be an effective combination. Neither can match up against giants like Sandilands, Gawn or Simpson height wise, but their around the ground work should make up for that. The current sub-rule world in which they play should still allow both to be on the ground, or at the very least in the same 21.

As we told Tiger fans, he's got the first ruck wrapped up. Angus Graham is about as usefull ad a thimble full of cocky spoof.

Best of luck to Ivan!

I really don't get why Graham gets such a bad beating on BF. He has played plenty of handy games over his career, and is probably just that bit worse than Maric, which is why Richmond got Maric. As a back up ruck option, he is fine.

No way near as useful as made out by posters on here.

Not quite as dirty as Fraser Gehrigs.

fe·ral

1    /ˈfɪərəl, ˈfɛr-/ Show Spelled[feer-uhl, fer-] Show IPA

He makes Brad Moran look like Byron Pickett. Never seen such a buttercup at his size. Shirks contested mark, horrible read of the flight and doesn't run nearly hard enough. Drops his head a lot and can count himself very lucky he wasn't born less than 6'5.

No offence intended but thank god maric is gone.

Won't get in the top 8 with him in our lineup anytime soon.

good luck richmond :D

I find it very offensive actually.....

I hope and pray Jacobs stays sound or the day may come you will rue your asinine comments because we have no PROVEN back up on our list of Ivan's experience presently.

I'd love to have the big fella still. I'm glad we have Jacobs over Maric though.

No need to be thankful he is gone.. unless you are thankful for him to be able to squeeze into a side that can use him more than we currently can.

Me too, but would like to still have both even more!
The fact is he would've most likely spent most of the year playing SANFL, but would've been a very solid back-up incase Jacobs goes down. Would have been unfair to the big fella to keep him.

It amazes me the love for Maric on Bigfooty... An ordinary ruckman at his best... Will be perfectly suited to Richmond...

Quality bloke, protected his teammates, 2nd efforts, name another 198cm Ruckman as good?

All well and good saying that...but...

Take Jacobs out and our ruck stocks are GLARINGLY deficient IMO.

Tips [202cm] is a case of "taking from Peter to pay Paul" anyway you care to put it, does OK in boundary ruckwork but just fair in Central or around the ground tap work.

McKernan [196cm] not really tall enough or aggressive enough to go with the Monsters of the AFL. No certainty he'll be on our list much longer unless he delivers big time this year.

Jenkins [197cm] like McKernan lacks cm's and is yet to play an AFL game, speculative prospect at best at this stage.

Let's face it our rucking depth is certainly not one of our strengths and seriously needs to be an area we look to improve in future drafts and trading.

This. he's going to be happier at richmond.

I felt he didn't achieve what craigy wanted of him during his stint at the crows.

Settling for someone as a second even though it never really takes us to where we want to be isn't the way to go.

crows have had big issues in the last decade due to not being able to let go of players/ or continueing to develop players that aren't specifically working for us.

So what we aren't looking at top 8 this year let's try get the most of McKernan and if it doesn't work trade him at the end of the year.

This is where the crows are at. we have to play new guys this year as much as possible.

It's true but trading maric is going to help in the long run.
