One of these days, I'll learn not to have anything in my mouth when I read these boards. I just spat water all over my computer monitor and keyboard when I saw that pic.

One of the best threads I have read on bf.:thumbsu:
Loved Up the Guts comment on our board that Ivan will be the bodyguard that Trent Cotchin needs.

I couldn't agree more tuggs, good form adelaide :thumbsu:

Great to see the Adelaide supporters giving him a warm send off.

I must admit, I have never noticed him that much in the past and couldn't understand why Dimma wanted him so much. But after reading this thread I now know what the fuss is all about. Dimma expects 100% effort especially on the defensive side and that is what this bloke will give. A common trait with our other trade, Steven Morris; guys that give their all at the contest.

Finally the RFC is growing some big kahunas and wont be someone's b*tch.

Thank you Adelaide.

same here, i started my own thread on the subject but i should have checked this one first, he may not be number one in the comp but just the amount of respect this guy has been given in this thread says more than enough, i have only seen one bad post about him so far but i'll put that down to a minority, can't wait to see him in action.

A+ adelaide :thumbsu:

I know I'm a little late to this love-in here but I thought I'd put in my 2 cents in. Richmond have done very well here, Ivan is a great fit for their club. He may not be the best ruckman on earth but he will absolutely BLEED yellow and black. Supporters that are as passionate about their club as Richmond supporters tend to be, will absolutely love him for that. As others have said, he's great at flying the flag. I once heard Neil Craig say Maric is a man's man, one of the lads so to speak. Richmond players will love going into battle alongside him.

All the best Big Ivan:thumbsu:! We'll miss you in the tri-colours!:(

I want to wish Ivan Maric good luck, and thanks for all the memories in the tri-colours. I will always remember that Showdown in the wet, when he played on around the mark, in the wet, and kicked a goal from THAT pocket.
Definitely won't be boo-ing him. I understand why he moved on. I blame the sub rule.
Save your boos for Davis, Gunston and "You guys told me off when I did something wrong, so I'm leaving" Armstrong.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Made us INSTANTLY better in the rucking department tonight. Since when did ruckmen do second efforts? I know ours never have!

Tried hard, second efforts, tapped to advantage, aggressive, quick for a big guy, good skills.

Great trade. I knew he would be!

(He has the worst, most glorious, mullet ever.)

Did I say Thank you?

2nd efforts are Ivan's specialty. Will always give 100%. If he can improve his around the ground work, he will be a very handy player. Lacks the height to be a dominant ruckman, but has plenty of muscle. Hopefully Hardwick can get the best out of him.

Good to see Ivan up and about tonight, looked pretty lively. It was a shame to see him go, but he was always going to play 2nd fiddle to Jacobs and just doesn't have the mobility to make it as a 2nd ruck. Especially since we already have a beast like Tippett in the forward line.

I genuinely want Ivan to go on to be great player for the tigers. He deserves a chance as a first ruckmen and I want him to surpass the player he was at Adelaide.

So much can be learnt from Ivan with regards to how to behave at a club, and when leaving a club.

Well said BunjiMac, I agree with your sentiments especially the last bit.

I have always loved Ivan's passion and he gives you 100%.

If I was on the battlefield of war, front line, Ivan is the type of bloke you would want standing next to you.

I'll watch Tigers games just to see Ivan.
Good luck big fella!!!

Loved the way he attacked the ball last night and the second efforts.

Again, probably wont be a world beater and still a bit short to be a first ruck but at least gives his all and is an upgrade on anything we had ruck wise.

At the end of the match he looked a bit lost trying to leave Etihad. Loved the mullet though, he has bought some of the Adelaide over with him.

Good to hear you guys still think so highly of him - was obviously a good person to have at the AFC.

At least we both won out of this trade. All the best to the AFC for 2012 :thumbsu:
