Would anybody who has made the ridiculous argument that Jackson Trengove's inclusion last week would have won us the game please kindly watch literally any Jackson Trengove game not played against bottom 4 opposition this year and then give themselves an uppercut.

And no, his cheap junk time goals in Q4 against the Eagles, both from uncontested chest marks, one of which was in the centre square and only resulted in a goal due to a 50 metre penalty, were not the difference in that game. Justin Westhoff moving forward to free up Dixon (in the same way that Todd Marshall has done over the last three weeks and in the same way that Jackson Trengove proved himself completely incapable of doing over the preceding four or five months, because Westhoff and Marshall are natural forwards and Trengove isn't) was the difference. Trengove just happened to be there.
Trengove was terrific vs West Coast in Perth. Maybe watch that again?

Barrett has just said on Triple M that Dew will be here next year.

Apparently rejected GCS job / didn't apply as knew that Port job would be available.

Remember its Barrett though.
one can only wish, keeping Hinkley is just an acceptance of Vanilla

Oh Barrett ;). Dew's wife did not want to go from Sydney last time they said Dew was going to coach elsewhere. :D

i dont really like Trengove but i would have played him from a structual perspective and also because if the choice is between him or impey/marshall then Trengove wins everytime

Ken has let this speculation run on for too long. It makes the club look like amateurs. He should be given the boot for this alone, regardless of the repeated underperformance of the team.
Hearing that there are options available outside the club at least gives us some leverage so we won't look like a basket case taking the last bloke standing.
We need to get back to bring ruthless. Haas worked for the crows and I'm sick of port being so apologetic and worried about everyone's feelings while we piss away a pretty decent list

I had a listen to the Barrett clip and all I read was that Dew has sort of spat the dummy and refuses to waste his time applying for the position while the Hinkley situation is up in the air. Nothing about Dew coming to Port. Barrett also said thay Kinkley will be on fiveAA tomorrow and needs to clarify things then about where he's at. It probably explains tbe 3Ks meeting at Hinkley's home yesterday so they could sort out issues prior to that interview. I also wonder how pissed Bassett and the other assistants might be if Dew walked into our top job anyway.

Is Dew going to help Wines pack?

Oh and Ollie if you have a girlfriend don't let her look at Dewy cos he has some weird sorcery going on ;)

I agree that, whether Hinkley stays or goes, he needs to come out and clarify things asap. The club doesn't need the ongoing speculation.

Bit of a Mexican stand off to see who moves first? ie we'd be trying to avoid a pay out, GC would be hoping we let him go
