I prefer EVs, but that 10-15% extra weight is 10-15% extra pressure on already struggling road networks. There needs to be a way to recoup this and that should come from the user's or the retailers.

I think Victorians switched off some time ago with Jacinta. But cannot see her recovering from such a slump in the polls even if 22 months out from an election. Too much damage done and being done. And Victorians are just not into SRL.

The promise yesterday of $300M on road improvements in Melbourne’s west is a cheap hollow prank weeks out from a by-election. But I doubt anyone believes it is genuine or sincere. Jacinta has learnt she can promise the world and never have to deliver. When you hear that a fire station in Clyde North (population 35,000) promised in 2021 is still an empty site, you get the drift.

They could commit to the current infrastructure pipeline. If they don’t want to cancel SRL why is the age etc waging a campaign to do so.

Vic Labor are lucky the election isn't for another two years, they'll be tightening the belt this year, have people using the Metro and West Gate Tunnels by the end of the year, and have the time to get their house in order.
But if their current performance costs Federal Labor government Allan will be gone by June.
