Robbo is establishing a narrative where he, and his like, are not held accountable for their contribution to the inevitable mental health issues that will manifest with these young guys. He is displaying very poor form and should be held to account.
He's running with the, she was asking for it, defence.

Players should know well and truly that journalists trawl around the bottom of the heap trying to create a story that keeps them in a job.

They're like the low life who hang around outside courts shoving cameras and microphones in people's faces supposedly "in the public interest".

Hopefully Ginni is getting the right level of support from within the club so he can ride out these scumbags.

Get a real job di#kheads

Never forget

Robinson tweeted about Magpies player Alex Fasolo, who returned to training today following his announcement that he was battling depression earlier this week.

"Good drugs - Clinical depression on Tuesday, training Thursday," Robinson tweeted

Never forgiven Robbo for that. I hold life long grudges against media who treat us/our players with contempt. Probably irrational, I know, but I can’t forgive and forget when it comes to the Pies.

I think it goes beyond Fasolo being a Pie.

Fas was clearly struggling and unwell and for Robbo to use that as an opportunity to make a joke is beyond insensitive and cruel, it was reckless and dangerous.

I bloke in his position (high profile media) should know better about the impact of reckless comments such as this. Unfortunately, Robbo has form in this regard. What disappoints me more is that he is rarely held to account for his thoughtless comments.

So basically those booing were 2 year olds emotionally. Right.
Demonstrating, or acting out, against authority is not limited to "2 year olds". It is a symptom of a society or institution that does not allow freedom of expression. Provide avanues for people to feel heard and they won't always resort to the only option available. The AFL is typical of many totalitarian style institutions that quash what they perceive to be dissent, and any voice against 'their' desired narrative is considered dissent. Look at the signage around AFL grounds. "Report anti-social behaviour, text ...." What constitutes anti-social behaviour? What is actively followed up? Is there due process in any investigation? Is there even an investigation? Classic 'our way or the highway' mentality. The Goodes situation was no different. The AFL effectively stated 'we will not engage in open and honest dialogue, we will mandate expected behaviour and punish everyone else'. In the case of Adam Goodes, a wonderful opportunity to explore social issues was lost where there may have been productive conversation. I suspect that it was as a result of some railing against being made to feel uncomfortable.... But what do I know?

If you want to view those who said don't boo as parents placing appropriately dictating behaviour on their "babies", then yes your analogy holds.

I personally think that the continued booing of Goode,s after he pointed out the harm it was doing, was incredibly poor behaviour and agree with Whateley's recent criticism of the AFL community's behaviour towards Ginnivan. But that doesn't mean that maliciousness or racism or whatever is the main motivating factor for many of those who boo or booed these guys. For many it's a pantomine divorced from the reality. For others it's a protest against authority, etc...

This is what makes money for people like Robbo ... create more and more clickbait ... never written anything with substance

I struggle to understand how he's got his job. Can't imagine him resulting in more tuning in than switching off.

Not sure if you watched much of it, but when he was away sick 360 turned into a legitimately good programme.

I think he should not open his mouth to talk, if he’s been drinking

"………………imagine never hearing his voice again,!

Hats off to Gerard Whateley who has stuck up for Ginnivan and called out the behaviour and targeted attacks by media and footy fans as disgusting, despicable and rotten.
And Robbo with his implicit bias disagreed.
Whateley - on the treatment of Ginny- "I actually think it's despicable of us"
Robbo's reply "I don't think that....I don't "
This man is unfit to hold the position he does
