You're deliberately being obtuse and antagonistic because you've built up this intense dislike for me all because I criticised and disagreed with another user you intensely like.

Someone else in this very thread posted a rumour that Ginnivan was dropped because he was misbehaving. On Ginnivan's Instagram feed is a picture of him in a nightclub two days before a game that he was named to play in.

If he was drinking and was supposed to play, it's a fair question to ask if he was dropped because of that. If he was drinking and it was always intended he was going to managed, it's a fair question to ask if going out and drinking alcohol is a good choice if he is fatigued and supposed to be recovering.

I honestly do not care if a player enjoys a drink, and I do not care one bit if a player even enjoys something else on a night out. Far be it from me to criticise THAT. But given the way Ginnivan was removed from Monday's game was, let's be honest, a little unorthodox - it is perfectly fair and reasonable to discuss that.

Honest question….. how do you know it’s a nightclub? And is there a scale of sins? Something like this?

Strip joint
Bali nightclub
Nightclub
Bar
Cocktail lounge
Wine bar
Local pub
Restaurant
Lounge bar
Licensed Cafe
Coffee shop

You do know lots of footballers have been known to go out for dinner 2 nights before a game, and shock, horror, may even have a glass of wine or two..
Again, I said in that comment that far be it from me to criticise players for what they do in their down time. I'm not the one that started the rumour that he was dropped for misbehaving.

Honest answer - the picture is from the District 14 Instagram page, as can be noted. District 14 is a nightclub in Narre Warren.

Two years ago someone that people very much like on this board posted screenshots of Beau McCreery at a concert the night before a game and said he needs to pull his head in and be professional - he ended up kicking 3 goals the next day. I'm not the only person here to look at a player's social media.

Kirby watch out! Mrs Kirby won't like to hear this!

Like the good old days when teams were going shithouse and they'd have a binge drinking/honesty session. These days they could just log into Bigfooty with a carton and reread the game day threads
My post was from an Elton John song - Goodbye Yellow brick Road.

I saw the word good in your post and spent a while trying to fit it into the tune, thinking you were doing the same. Can't get the tune

Intense? I don’t think you’re even in my top 20.

Try and cover yourself in sugar and act all sweet now, but your original post with the photo was not actually asking a question. You were making a statement posed as a question.

All because you have a ridiculous vendetta.

If you want to make a statement then come out with it in an honest manner. Man up.

I have no ridiculous vendetta at all. I like Ginnivan and want him to be a lifelong player with us. Hoping that he isn't chronically doing silly things off the field isn't me having a vendetta against him. Yet again, I'll remind you that I wasn't the one in this thread who first made a comment about him being dropped due to misbehaving.

You may not have started it, but it seems you think you've found evidence.

20 year old footballer seen sitting down getting a photo with fans on a Saturday night with what looks like a bottle of water and other glasses of white liquid, most likely vodka & soda. Can't tell which drink belongs to whom. Must drop Jack just in case.

You’re fuelling the made up fire.

Hardly the first person on this board to dive head first into a player's Instagram and post screenshots on here.

Was just a simple question, I legitimately don't know if going out drinking two nights before a game is conducive to good performance (or good recovery, if he's fatigued as we're led to believe).

On SM-G981B using BigFooty.com mobile app
Back in the day when I played premier division EDFL I was on $1000 a game and we had strict conditions on all things alcohol etc including curfew and days leading into games. Essentially Thursday training is done and you’re on work and home essentially. I’m sure afl players would be similar in regards to curfew.
