No no, that sounds too logical lolCould it be that ginni is still a very young player who is having a bad form patch

That's a bit harsh Kap, I mean, he kicked 40 goals in a season last year, not bad for a slow kid who can't markNot unless the bad form is the reason he's really slow and struggles overhead.
I remember Dids at Williamstown was a class above.I'd bet that Pendles would stand out and still get less possessions than in a AFL game.
Same as any star without the help from great teammates.

Agree, always seen him as a Luke breust type. Not quick or great overhead, but very smart around goals and reads the ball drop well. You know my love for Ginni, but surely he’s a pure forward? His deficiencies (as well documented on here…) would at face value make it difficult for him to succeed in another position. His best footy is close to the goals.
Pre-draft. Ginni's dad talks about him in the sense that he plays like Bruest, so you might be onto something there.Agree, always seen him as a Luke breust type. Not quick or great overhead, but very smart around goals and reads the ball drop well.
I remember hodge talking about breust when he got drafted and thought he'd never make it, but hard work and perseverance got him there. Sometimes early success can make it harder for kids to understand what's required to have a lasting career.
Jack Anthony kicked 50 goals in a year too. Doesn't guarantee success
And now he has kicked 21 goals by mid season in a poor team, so it shows you can also turn it around.Agree.
Stepho went from star to potato pretty quick. It happens.

I have. He has looked better than in the last few years. And its tough in a team like that.Have you watched him play? He'd have 15 Joe the gooses.
Stevo would have more goals than that if he was playing for us this season.I have. He has looked better than in the last few years. And its tough in a team like that.
Don't think we'll start to see his best for a few more years, once he grows up with more pre-seasons. He was still a teenager 6 months ago.Stevo would have more goals than that if he was playing for us this season.
Pity.
Expecting Ginni to improve.
Milne is the player I compare him too.
Another pre season. Still just a kid.
Stevie Milne was very quick. You've got to go back to the 90s to find brilliant forward pockets who couldn't run. Menzel post injuriies is the only recent one and he got delisted whilst having 2 goals a game seasons.Stevo would have more goals than that if he was playing for us this season.

To me he didn't look overly fast.Stevie Milne was very quick. You've got to go back to the 90s to find brilliant forward pockets who couldn't run. Menzel post injuriies is the only recent one and he got delisted whilst having 2 goals a game seasons.
Very fast over short distances. Short steps - his legs pumped so fast that it was like a cartoon blur.To me he didn't look overly fast.
Evasive yes. Deadly kick yes.
Ginni ain't going nowhere. Good for 30+ goals per season

I'd like an example of someone who played better at AFL than VFL. You hear it thrown around a bit, but it's just an excuse for someone having a quiet game in the VFL.I remember Dids at Williamstown was a class above.

They are worth six points like any other goal. Credit where credits due…. Stevo seems to have turned the corner.
harvey harrison is in the team...depending on how you appraise it, ginnivan should be able to replace him in the short term
