So am I, but you cant ever claim culture reason for getting rid of Ginnivan when you recruit players like Mitchell and keep people liek DE Goey on the list.
Mitchell's professionalism and commitment to high training and performance has always been highly regarded. Sydney wanted to re-sign him but were priced out of competition by Hawthorn who insisted he become their #1 midfielder.

Mitchell left Hawthorn because Sam Mitchell already had his next generation midfield sorted and wanted to speed up their development which sent Tom to half forward and wing which obviously is not his position.

Mitchell's contribution to club culture has always been a massive plus.

One aspect of this trade is it is a big reflection on Jeff Browne vs the way Eddie McGuire handles this stuff.

McGuire would have calmed the situation down and had all people put football first. He would have understood that as long as what Ginnivan did didn't impact his football capabilities then it didn't matter to the club

Under McGuire Ginnivan stays. Browne however was simply too soft. He put the medias outlook and opinions ahead of the success of his club. He was more interested in his PR Dept then his team's success.

The failures of 2024 really signify this culture. The players can't put winning first when the club doesn't

Say his name and he appears, clap clap.

I believe in Joe Hendry!

Depending on the GWS/Lions result and academy/F&S bidding but it looks like it will be

Collingwood receive - 33 + 33(2024 Hawthorn 2nd?) + 50 (2024 Hawthorn 3rd?)
Hawthorn receive - Ginnivan 39 + 30(Collingwood 2024 2nd?) + 67(Collingwood 2024 4th?)

Looks like Ginnivan will be traded for the equivalent of a pick 56-61 give or take a few positions (may have ****ed up the numbers though please correct me if I'm wrong!)
