Why? We are able to absorb the $2M at 2 years salary, that's the center to the trade. How about the Suns have never made finals so give us pick 4 for Luko and our future first. Using your logic you should jump at it.

Interestingly, last year this time most Crows fans were convinced about playing finals in 2024.IF our F1 is on the table in any capacity, then I would really be trying for either:-
F1 for Luko + Pick 20; or
F1 + 25 for Luko + Pick 12
Not fussed about the contract and needing GC to pick any of it up, we have cap room so its a non issue
Either of these scenario's are preferred as we have retained our coach (no sign of sacking him) and our F1 is every chance to be a pick between 4-9 next year.
Show me the past and I will show you the future. 5 years into our rebuild and we have just finished bottom 4. We have a coach thats never taken us to finals and we are short on top draw talent in the midfield where games are won and lost. From our end, we have to view our F1 as a pick in that range as we have a proven track record of falling miles short under this coach and it would be negligent of us to assume we are trading an early to mid teens pick.Interestingly, last year this time most Crows fans were convinced about playing finals in 2024.
You could finish bottom 4 but also top 4. If you play finals both your scenarios are not attractive.
I updated my post with some bargaining, haha. You can always walk away from trade. But if Luko requests trade officially, then the deal is basically done. Let's see. We should know soon, I hope.Show me the past and I will show you the future. 5 years into our rebuild and we have just finished bottom 4. if we sack Nicks, get someone like Bartel in maybe, then year..I would expect a spike.
The rumour has gone to your pick 26 without a F3 going back so this is now 2). We will hold out for 3) which will be your last offer, Lukosius + pick 12 for F1 + $2M salary relieve.Interestingly, last year this time most Crows fans were convinced about playing finals in 2024.

Without too much effort put into it this is how I would negotiate if I am Suns list manager
1. Luko for F1.
2. 1 day to go, Luko + F3 for F1.
3. last offer, take it or leave it, 10 min to go Luko + F2 for F1 + F3.
You will be lucky to have Luko. He will be providing link up, great deliveries inside 50, 40+ goals.
And if it doesn't work then you are paying $1M for a VFL player and his trade value will be even less.I updated my post with some bargaining, haha. You can always walk away from trade. But if Luko requests trade officially, then the deal is basically done. Let's see. We should know soon, I hope.
Personally, I would keep Luko one more year. Walter and Read are still just babies. Who knows Luko could even fit into Dimma's system eventually.
If you start slowly/badly you fire Nicks early and there will be a spike in performances. IMO, fire Nicks now. 5 years was enough. Suns waited too long with Dew. Even Dimma still can't make finals.
There are probably 15 teams with realistic chance to play finals in 2025. Crazy.
I think Luko can be a quality player in the right system no doubt. I just have this real uneasy feeling if we don't get something back like what i spitballed to above to mitigate and we do crash (again) next year, we have given up a chance of having draft collateral to make a play for Dyson Sharpe and i have seen this kid live and he is exacly what we need in our midfield.I updated my post with some bargaining, haha. Fair enough. I feel it's Port where he is headed.I think Luko can be a quality player in the right system no doubt. No offence to luko but if we finish bottom 4 next year, apart from needing to blow the place up, watching a pick 4 in GC hands selecting Sharpe or another top rated mid lets say, i will vomit and then burn my club membership.
After being burnt these last few years, i am glass 3/4 empty when looking at my expectations for the club under the current coaching regime. Call it the bigotry of low expectation now.
I mean, yeah that's the best-case scenario, but there's clearly a much lower floor with his output, tooYou will be lucky to have Luko. He will be providing link up, great deliveries inside 50, 40+ goals.

I get the feeling Port will have a much more appropriate pick to use, post-Houston deal (their F1 straight up). They'll also have a need, once Marshall retires. Feels like that's where it's headed as of right now
GC fans acting like they have all the leverage when their salary cap is bursting at the seams is quite amusing for all I imagine.
Luko will feel at home. That's how Suns deliver it inside 50 too.I feel sorry for Luko if Port pick him the way they long bomb into the forward line he won't get near it.
Hence why they drafted B King, Walter and E Read..when you have 3 huge blokes up there you can play it that way. Luko is a bit of a square peg in a round hole in that regardLuko will feel at home. That's how Suns deliver it inside 50 too.
I have to say Port constantly bombing it inside 50was so stupid. Playing Dixon was another shocker.Hence why they drafted B King, Walter and E Read..when you have 3 huge blokes up there you can play it that way. Luko is a bit of a square peg in a round hole in that regard
Without wanting to derail this thread, Port really should have gone another way imo. Go 100% all in for Perryman as a FA, but the other one to have gone really hard at was Pickett - trade Houston for a good pick(s) and then go all in on Pickett. Then look to try and trade in Luko. They are in their window having made prelims this year and recently, Pickett would be huge for them, Lukosius adds a quality forward and Perryman can slot in at half back.I have to say Port constantly bombing it inside 50was so stupid. Suns are terrible converting inside 50. Second worst or something like that.
Definitely, I would keep Luko higher up the ground (like in 2023) but Dimma seems having different plans.

Unless its F1 + 25 for Luko + 12 maybe? We don’t have the list spots for another pick this year regardless. So we won’t be getting pick 12 this year as part of the deal

Not even you would truly believe what you have just posted$2M is 20% of Mac Andrew entire contract that you can use to front load, just saying you need to give something and unlike Bowes I actually rate Lukosius so pick 12 is very fair to "gamble" for a potential pick 4. But then you initially said it wasn't $2M and now you are reside to the fact that it is lol.
Or just keep himInterestingly, last year this time most Crows fans were convinced about playing finals in 2024.

He sure enjoyed Brownlow with his buddies.Or just keep him
Geelong took $1.6M for 2 years off GCS salary cap and got pick 7. We get pick 12 for $2M for 2 years and GCS also get a chance of pick 4 or at worst pick 10 next year. If GCS want to get back into this draft or bank bid points, they can split up pick 6 and offer one of them plus pick 20 for Rioli, what have you been smoking that you think Rioli is worth pick 6 and 20 bruh???Not even you would truly believe what you have just posted
never replied to you before but hey dude what you been smoking
