If I was to put money on it right now, I would say he leaves, but a lot can change in a year so hopefully he sees that we are working towards something, however it might take a little too long for him and he might want out after 6 years.GC most talented player and out of contract. Is this where im supposed to say he is best mates with Tom Lynch ??
Seems to work with the other players

Don't think that was anything more than hopeful rumours from Essendon fans, it definitely wasn't confirmedSo why wouldnt he go to Essendon where he requested a trade to last year?
Seems obvious.

Gold Coast's Jack Martin is hot property
ESSENDON has confirmed its interest in Gold Coast's Jack Martin, but believes he is unlikely to leave the Suns this year.
Martin, 23, is contracted for another year and the Suns have been on record declaring their intention to extend his current deal.
However, the Bombers threw more fuel on the fire on Friday by openly stating they'd like to add Martin to their midfield despite the Suns' staunch stance.
"The interest is there, but that said, he is contracted," Essendon football manager Dan Richardson told SEN.
Herald Sun journalist Sam Edmund believes Essendon could be poised to make a play for Gold Coast midfielder Jack Martin.
Martin, who’s contracted for the 2019 season, averaged 18 disposals and five tackles from 15 games this year.
And....

“Gold Coast’s Jack Martin is a whisper that won’t go away,” Edmund told SEN Breakfast.
“Essendon’s interest has been reported, that remains solid. That footy club has a real interest in Jack Martin.
“The latest whisper is he requested a trade out of his exit interview Jack Martin, now I can’t seem to substantiate that as yet, but the jungle drums are well and truly beating.
So a bit more than just supporters creating a rumour.

Ok. So a club comes out and specifically names a player without talking with the player or their manager?
Martin was intetested not so Gild Coast
When players want to move they come our and say they want to move. A club signalling that they want a player is step 1 of how trades play out in public, a player requesting a trade is next. The fact that the second step didn't eventuate means he didn't want to go to Essendon enough to make the smallest public step on his behalf. The way it played out in the media with Essendon commenting was basically the same as other players who did move. In this case, GC just didn't allow it because they were losing enough this season. It's real

Just some thoughts
1. Essendon need inside beasts
2. Essendon already traded out 2019 first round pick.
3. I can’t any Essendon player wanting to go to the Gold Coast.
4. Unless their is a third club, the deal won’t get done
Only if your a hawthorn supporter-seems everyone but them got the memo that their destination club status expired years ago...unless your a perennially injured player with one last shotIs this where im supposed to say he is best mates with Tom Lynch ??

Feel that is about right.
Dons will need to come up with a suitable trade but lack picks. What player has the value to get it done either directly or indirectly?
Port supposidly keen as well as was Martin. What is the attraction to Port?
Eagles would have to also be an option. New stadium, new $60m training hub, premiers and swimming in cash. Also have a strong and exciting group of indigenous players. Martin on a wing or half back / half forward would be very nice. Jetta replacement next year? Jetta to coach and mentor the young fellas.

Why? West Coast don’t have any, Collingwood had only Sier and Richmond don’t have any either. Having one would be great but all over team structure is more important.

Martin?
Both Yeo and Redden are 190cm, that isnt small.
Looks like players across the board are shedding kgs to run more. Has been a common theme across many training reports.
How is Adams not an inside beast, likewise Shuey? Adams was top 10 for clearances total and Shuey for per game average. Why? West Coast don’t have any, Collingwood had only Sier and Richmond don’t have any either. Having one would be great but all over team structure is more important.
