Pretty happy picking up Jack Redden. Many think we paid overs but I am not in that camp. Think he could deliver a real point of difference and much rather see him at the centre clearance than Hutching the Crab jogging on the spot. Definitely improves our best 22.
I think the people that have had Redden in fantasy in previous years and have watched him closely will know he can play. Does the hard stuff.

He's a bit of a larrikin, but ultra professional. He will fit right in at the club, have read on here that he'll come straight in and do the grunt work which is accurate. He's not flashy, just a solid contributor.

Sharrod has some competition.
I think it was 2013 that we received some criticism about our small inside mids (I think we were running Masten through there at the time).
Soon we'll be able to have a centre square with Yeo and Redden. I hope that they do a Mighty Ducks bash brothers impression.

I'm very interested to hear the circumstances of the Redden trade, given that he presumably has no links to WA other than Yeo.
Did we sound him out initially, or did he come to us?
It's a fairly unique coup for the club because we've seldom attracted interstate players and seem to rarely target contracted players.

Anyway, really like this trade. Should give us a good succession plan to Priddis, as well as some more size in the midfield.
It's a crude way of looking at it, but adding Redden's contested ball winning and tackling pressure to the 22 should help offset Jetta's deficiencies in that area (assuming we pick him up).
