The only salt I see comes from port puff fans.
The arrogance of them to think Jackie watts would be anything more than he was at Melbourne is laughable.

But let me guess the premiership assault is back on track after disposing of top 4 contender north right?

Lol

Of course it is!!!

Just ask the Dockers, you can take the player out of Melbourne but you can’t take the Melbourne out of their game.

Jack Watts dropped for tomorrow night's game.

I guess that doesn't do his AA chances much good. Shame.

It was funny reading on Port's board Janus lauding his game on the weekend and how he creates space for the other forwards. He gets dropped a few days later. Hysterical stuff.

In reality, he has the intensity of an indoor cat and the heart of a grape seed, which is why he barely gets involved in games. Hating the contest doesn't serve you well on a footy field.

You seem hung up... slithering around the port watts board..... jeepers thats creepy.

Jack Watts isn't an AA calibre player. He has good foot skills but that's about it. Doesn't impact the contest like a true key forward, doesn't have the work rate of a guy like Tom Lynch (Crows) and doesn't chase and tackle with intensity. Like most Jack Watts threads this one wouldn't exist if he wasn't a former pick 1.

Hes been serviceable. Not a superstar and not AA worthy but many of us are disappointed that hes been dropped this week. I dont think it's fair to question his intensity as he worked extremely hard last week. Not getting the goals consistently but none of our forwards are.

I saw his game and thought I'd check in to see if Port fans mirrored my frustration when the peaheart played for us. There were some footy smart posts, but most were delusional.

It's not creepy to take interest in a past player. Are you suggesting you've never done something similar ?

Liar.

With those intentions? No... no I don't. Im a 'supporter'. Anyone who served my club doesn't get that treatment from me.

He looked very fit and like he was working hard but he also looked to me like he was playing in the forward pocket. Maybe a decoy to draw a defender away from Dixon or Gray??

From what I've seen from Watts this year my question would be more why did Port get him when they had Westhoff and Marshall, and given that they did get him then why stick him deep?

His best value to a team is his kicking inside 50, it's as good as anyone in the comp, but he isn't getting the ball there. He's also very underrated as a back up ruck so I was surprised he didn't get used there when Ryder was out. His work as an extra midfielder when in the ruck allows him to get easy touches and valuable ones in the corridor. Maybe it's a case of not trying to upset a new recruit by putting him a role he doesn't like but it's a great way to get him in to the game and once he's in a game he often stays involved more.

If Jack Watts is an All Australian my goodness there would have to be about 10 forward that are injured. He is overrated. At best a depth player, does not kick enough goals or dominate games.
