2 changes after sitting though 2 and a half hours of pure torment and hell on Sunday. We are a very very week footy club. This is the 3rd time I am going to have to rip up my membership this year.

This season is just getting longer and longer.

Can someone in the know please tell me why we would only make 2 changes after a performance like that. Will Jade just make the players switch ends this week and see how the forwards go as back and vice versa. This season is really beyond a joke right know.

How is he still a contendor, if he gets the job I don't know if I could take it, hes better then Wallace, but who couldnt do better.

All the last 6 weeks has shown me is how out of touch Terry Wallace was with the game and more importanly his list and how much of a novice Rawlings is. Any one could of made the obvious changes Rawlings has done and good on him for doing it but please. This weeks team is a kick in the guts to anyone that has played the game at any level and been dropped for not performing. Our club is a very bad example to young footballers with this crap happening.

I really think Rawlings will be a good coach in a couple of years but not for us. It is like watching Grant Thomas on match days. Another 4 weeks and Rawlings will over take Grant Thomas and Mark Harvey as the worst match day coach in History.

Hey Cotch, we've got a list of 44 players all trying their best to play first grade footy. Training each week and running out for Seniors , Coburg or Coburg reserves all with one goal (to play seniors)

Roughly 16 of our top 22 players played the worst game of their careers last week and we drop 2 and bring 2 up.

I don't care who they bring in. Bring in a player that did an extra lap at training. Bring in some one that played their guts out and did their best. Don't reward crap efforts with no recourse at all.

I understand what you are saying about the Coburg players not performing that well last week because you were obviously at the game and I wasn't but we can't have 22 players running around in seniors thinking I only have to get 10 kicks this week because they will only drop two and the law of averages says that 4 or more will get 6 kicks or less and I'm going to get my match payment and another next week.

It is very sad. Wallace stuffed his career and a lot of others by not dropping blokes for not performing. Ask Joel Bowden if he'd rather been dropped after round 2 or 3 or dropped after round 11. He might not be getting shown the door if Wallace dropped players for bad form.

Well you have my permission to change the name of the thread to Match committe the Blade my arse then. If Jade is going to be our coach next year then he would want to get vocal. I can't watch another performance like Sundays especially with it being Bowdens last game. I truley want us to win for him and them selves.

HASN'T escaped me Troy ol' Boy .... Coburg has won, what, one game in its past four or five????

Yeah, makes sense, bring in a bunch of guys who have had less success and lost three times as often as those who played with Richmond last week.

The Cotch was spot on ... Tuck and Bowden - and probably Simmonds - were the only listed players to play well. And 99% of posters here have said they want him to give it away!!!

Mark Coughlan gets 30 touches every week for coburg of which about 75% would be contested to go with a mountain of tackles. also named in the bests also, which everyone is saying there is no one to bring up.
they have just hung this guy out to dry for a few weeks now, how he is supposed to get used to the tempo of the game if he is not playing ffs he has missed 3 bloody years! always gives 110% and has shown he is still definately capable in glimpses

Good to see the revolving door reactive selection system has been stopped

If selecting the team on form each week then we would need to drop 5+ players per match. They learn stuff all from that except that if they drop off in form they will get an easy week next in the VFL.

I like the coach putting the pressure back on to the team to lift and perform this week. Like it or not the team out their last week is our best side at present and more game time under match pressure conditions is what they need. Not easy touches in the lower level VFL comp.

Bringing back the old players like Simmonds and Bowden who are not part of the future will only set us back longer in development of the current list.

Good on you Jade you might just make a coach yet.

What would you do if you were coach? I agree culture comes from the coach and his response to adversity, but this time I think the biggest punishment for the crap we dished out last week is to put them on centre stage against a possible GF contender and see if they can get up for it.

I have no problem with the team this week except they should have kept Post in and dropped McMahon.

I would bet my life that Jade will turn it back on the playing group to redeem themselves. Rather than send half the side to the VFL.
