It was not what you offered it was the shitty way you went about it, using the media and his sick Dad. It was grubby but as the league has since learned very Essendon
You were a lot happier when you thought you could get another clubs player 2 weeks ago. You even continually bought up DFA threats.

Not so much fun now is it Bigun?

You'd hope he doesn't nominate Essendon after you declared you'd let him walk if no deal can be arranged.

Wow, free hit guys I am devastated that player we spend 2 X 1st round picks on and two years rehabbing on massive money that told the club he was still invested in the club only a week ago would walk out.
I am absolutely devastated so feel free to kick me in the guts

Cry me a river sweetheart. After your Essendon banter over the past couple of years - what goes around, comes around.

Lose two of the best young players of course they are going to fight back.

You would be more concerned if they didn't.

Lol you mean, Essendon wanting a fair price for players who left was a crime and are hard to deal with. These guys some how the victims and it is ok to ask for two first round picks for guy on crutches and hasn't played for 3 years.

Everyone wants a bargain, I guess, but there comes a time when you've just got to get the trade done.

Wright has been a breathe of fresh air for the ease with which he has gotten some trades through early in trade week(Lake, McEvoy, O'Rourke). SOS seems to share a similar philosophy.

Hopefully more clubs follow suit.
Most clubs try and accomodate trades. It's just Essendon that think its fine to screw everyone over.

Hill leaving hawthorn for fremantle will enable a three way trade (along with a draft pick) and salary wont be a problem for a long contract with the hawks ageing midfield stars. Wouldn't be beyond Hodge to retire to enable Jaeger to come to the club, he has always put hawthorn first.
Hodge is going to retire so O'meara can get to the Hawks. Are you off your head. The Hawks deserve to go out of the finals in straight sets just for that comment.

Any examples to support this or just following the flock of sheep who have no idea and love recycling the same line every year?

I think you'll find that most Essendon supporters who aren't here for the LOLs would prefer to deal amicably with GC if it came to it. Of course, JOM is unlikely to choose us so it will likely be a moot point.

The main point is, GC are dreaming if they think they'll get what they think they'll get given JOM is coming off a major injury and hasn't played for 2 years. Frankly, Rocket comparing this to the Treloar trade is embarrassing.

Maybe you are a bit slow on the uptake but Prestia just asked to leave as well. They've got every right to be pissed.

Then maybe they should be looking at the reason why A grade players are climbing over each other to get out of the place.

I don't think the universe works that way mate, and no, unfortunately I have work tomorrow so being off my head is out of the question.

This thread is shocking with trolling.

Shlt news GC fans but probably not a shock. Who knows this with prestia picks and your existing draft could be the start of a solid rebuild. Follow melbournes approach the last 5 years bring in tough in and under mids. Competitors rather then silk could turn it around.

Good spine to word with. GL

LOL, what makes essendon supporters think they have the 1st pick in the PSD, last year there was no PSD and picks in the PSD if there was one is only known after the completion of the draft, ever wondered why not every club has participated in it when it was in use, if Essendon fill their list after the draft and brisbane don't then it will be Brisbane with the 1st pick, quality players are not going into the PSD ever again, AFL won't allow it, get a trade done or stay where you are or step away for a year.

If O'Meara nominates a destination and GC ignore that - O'Meara could then hold firm. In that case Essendon would make sure they have a pick for O'Meara (most likely a pre-season position). Don't underestimate Essendon, they would be in his ear.

Anyone who reads this post will be dumber for it.

^ can someone explain this to me? In what situation can it be either? Seen varying reports saying PSD only etc

Neither will happen so I wouldn't worry too much.

Hypothetically if a trade can't be done with his club of choice

If he nominated the psd he would be almost garanteed to go to essendon with pick one.

If he doesn't want to go to essendon he can nominate the national draft and refuse to take a medical at any other club to ensure he gets to his desired club. see Luke ball as an example.

Ah yep got ya. Agreed though, neither will happen

Would GC take tigers 2016 and 2017 1st rounders and B.Ellis and possibly Conca or Edwards for Prestia and Omera

The GC head honcho said they wanted an elite player. I don't think Ellis, Edwards or Conca fit the bill. They are more talking about someone like Cotchin, Martin, Rance, Reiwoldt and perhaps Deledio

Appreciate the LOL but you're pulling my leg, right?
