That's what they said but right now they are negotiating Lobbs exit in a 3 way deal and hey have offered O'Meara a contract and done a medical.
If they keep one it's probably Meek. But what are they trading for O'Meara and Sharp.
Them keeping both just doesn't add up anymore.

Want to keep him TBH unless the deal is overs for us.
Rate him higher than I do Mitchell for the Sam Mitchell gameplan.

We are rebuilding, but he has a very important role in that rebuild. Losing him as well is exactly why people are speculating we drop down the ladder. So yes we will miss him.
He had one of his better years for us this year, but we've had the worst midfield in the comp for a while now with jaeger and mitchell leading it, personally wont be sad seeing him go as we may as well try something new in the midfield
Fair enough, good to know. The impression i had from Hawks mates was that they were a bit over the both of them. That of course doesn't mean that they would want to just offload them.

I would, espiecially if its just for meek. I think he is a good leader and a strong body but I also know where we are at with our rebuild so a decent pick would also be useful.
I understand that his value to hawthorn is greater than freo too.

Do you.. do you think that Hodgey 15 is in charge of Hawthorn's list?
I could see the value in exchange for Meek, but more than that? I would be concerned about an injury to Darcy if Lobb and Meek go.
Meek with game time will be a big improver imo. Makes sense for him to go and get opportunity though.

Both sets of supporters are valuing both players completely differently. Understandable given where both lists are at.

Btw love how he says omeara not making anything “official” ,yet has chosen freo and there are now countless articles ,a number of which are on the AFL website confirming this .
…so basically the whole footy world knows but he won’t dare make anything official just in case the deal falls over … so I’m guessing as not fool your average joe on the street who really couldn’t give a **** about AFL doesn’t think he’s liar or as much??

Ahh fair enough. Its an easy job. Say 50 things per trade and one of them is probably correct, then focus on that and pat yourself on the back.
The next level is when they go and delete the 49 incorrect ones.
