Traded Jaidyn Stephenson [traded with Bosenavulagi and #39 to North for #26, #33 and 2021 R4]

reckon the 2nd rounder will get it done, a priority for the pies is that their salary dumped players don't go to a contender for next year.

North offers the perfect destination in that sense, the only thing worse than losing Stephensen to TPP miscalculations would be to have him run out against you in the finals in 2021.
I think we're done for time being, if we weren't before this salary fiasco we certainly are now, Eddie will call for a complete review of the football department, chaired by Nathan Buckley.

The club has become an embarrassment.

FWIW i'm no troll, i asked Chief to delete my previous account, Frank Gallagher.

Nope, the first two picks are off the table (as publicised in the media). Desperate times at Pie land, you’ll be lucky to get a second rounder if you don’t get treloar contract off your books, tick tock tick tock
This is true. If Treloar can't be traded, then Collingwood will probably reluctantly accept a 2nd rounder from North Melbourne as a cap dump.

BUT, if Treloar trade gets done, then it will be interesting to see how much North Melbourne really wants Stephenson. The cap dump scenario is largely corrected. Collingwood would easily say no to the 2nd round pick and keep Stephenson, unless North Melbourne up their offer.

Pick 2 is the off the table. Collingwood fans are delusional to suggest they can get this.
Pick 11 is probably fair value, but North would also have multiple 2nd round picks after the Ben Brown trade and would probably prefer to offer a couple of 2nd round picks and keep the higher Pick 11.

The two 2nd round picks scenario could still interested Collingwood. They are rumoured to be interested in O'Brien from Carlton and Brander from West Coast. They could on trade these 2nd round picks to Carlton and/or West Coast for these players. It could be a way that Collingwood saves face, by bringing in two talented young players from other clubs, for what has been a disaster trade period PR wise.

agree i think youd get the picks they get from the brown and higgins deals which would be 26 and 30. from memory thats about what the dogs got for stringer.

Media reporting that North is only offering a second rounder, take it or leave it. Clearly don’t want to be drawn into these background games the pies are playing with Stephenson and Trealor for all of Thursday.

Mitch Cleary on trade radio said that North wont be trading any first rounders for Stephenson. He also met with the leadership group.

It's a second round pick or we walk away.

I would only do the trade for pick 2. I don't see either club being able to satisfy the other on this deal

Shouldn't be on trade table and Collingwood would be trying everything possible to keep him if he's worth pick 2.

Pick 11 might be untouchable in a sense, but I could see you downgrading it in a deal with Collingwood. They've got 16 which is awkwardly placed for them if a bid comes early on their player and they have to match. 11 almost certainly puts them in the clear.

A swap of picks 11 and 16, with whatever else it takes to topup that trade for Stevo seems like it could be win/win to me

If Pies are clearing Stephenson off their books, they shouldn't be expecting a win-win deal.
North have rocks in their heads if they do 11 and 16 swap.

He has certainly out performed most pick 2's after being in the system 3 years imo. But it might be between keeping him and keeping De Goey. Hopefully if we trade out one of Phillips or Treloar we can keep him.

North and the Dogs going in dry on the Pies.

If the Dogs force Collingwood to pay $300k of Treloars contract, that may mean they simply still have to trade Stephenson for whatever they can get.

Probably enables them to re-sign De Goey though.

If they keep either of these 2 or both of these 2, it may mean De Goey goes to the PSD.

Collingwood doesn't have a very good bargaining position here and North know it
I think that depend on a few things.

How many players we have to trade out if any.
Collingwood may tell clubs that they are accepting the best deal they can get for only one of Treloar, Stephenson or Phillips and that they are keeping the other 2 players.

26 is huge overs by North but they can afford to go a bit over here

Don't read the Collingwood board then!

Pick 2 + LDU has been mentioned more than once on there.

Delusional. If they rate him so high, he shouldn't be traded.

I wonder what kind of intel DeGoey has about Eddie Maguire / Ned Guy / Buckley. Seems they're throwing everyone out to keep him.

They are justing passing the denial phase into the anger part as I type this post.

He isn't out performing the pick #2 of his own draft. He has looked a shell of himself since his half season banned for betting.

He is a #6 pick and it's been three years. No club would have it's elite talent on the trade table without some serious issues behind the scenes. Collingwood shouldn't expect to get value for a salary cap dump, especially when he also isn't performing.
