Probably true. The only exception with Shiel is that he finished this year healthy. In fact, he was healthy most of the year, just in the 2s for a good chunk of it. His last 6-8 weeks in the AFL though were very good.

The major reason why almost nobody is showing interest in Jake Stringer has very little to do with his health.

Certainly, being more professional would help him on this front too, but I suspect it's symptom rather than cause.

I mean anyone who constantly gets the "if he gets fit" caveat tbh. They only get that when they're always injured so just move on

He's seemingly outworn his welcome at a second club now, and has gone around telling everyone he's played his last game there (apparently).

The underworld connections with Nick Hind don't help, either.

For saying it isn't form - there's a whole lot of all-duck-or-no-dinner about Jakey. Not that this isn't unexpected in a mid-table side, but this year there's been a bit of a sense that he's filled his boots against weaker sides, only to go missing the following week.
