It's a really good fit for both... He needs other key forwards around him ala Daniher and Hooker. And he adds real X factor and a genuine option to give bursts in the middle

Just heard the same thing, when he mentioned Essendon and their history, I suspect he may have similar issues to a Richmond recruit of a few years ago now cleaning his life up in the WAFL.

think its pretty clear to read between the lines...it doesnt help anyone to air that kind of information
least of all Stringer himself....

Just occurred to me, In his AA year Stringer was compared to the great Ablett Snr and funnily enough he was also let go from Hawthorn due to issues, lack of professionalism..etc

Far less games and still an unknown talent at Hawks when Ablett was discarded. Pike another discard that goes on to win 3 Premierships.

As for the actual interraction of the above, I doubt too many know, but all 4 items above were involved which the Dogs shot down months ago.

At the time I remember posting that we will know the validity of the rumour at the end of the year. They signed JJ to a long term contract so clearly the club took sides.

I'm not too sure, I guess it's different for each person. I know some guys who are more than happy to have their friends date/see their sister, whilst others would end a friendship over it. I'm guessing in this case it was the latter.

As for the club, if the players all mention not wanting to keep a player then its very much an issue.
