You guys will be a different team with nic Nat next year anywayThat would be four second-rounders for pick 13. Three knowns in 2017 and one unknown in 2018.
Yeah, that's more like it. At that point, I'm considering it. Short of that, GTFO.
If we assume that 2018 second-rounder is pick 30 (alongside 25, 28 and 30 in 2017), that would mean WC's "commission" is equivalent to pick 9, in points value. I could live with that.
Without that additional 2018 second-rounder, WC's "commission" would be equivalent to pick 22, in points value. Needless to say, that doesn't spin my wheels as much.
As a disclaimer, I expect WC to be far more reasonable. WC loves to be "reasonable".
West Coast seem keen on the pick swap so it should happen. Always a chance it could fall through but i would consider it remote atm. What are the odds now that... nothing happens?
Want to get his salary off the books? It's depressing how little faith I have in WC's ability to take advantage of this situation.
My money is on WC doing a "fair" deal and then pissing away the picks.
Can we give Masten to the Dogs instead of our 2018 first-rounder?
He's awesome. He's the next Simon Black.
Wow. The level of angst west coast supporters have towards their clubs' drafting. I feel you should all get free hugsIt's depressing how little faith I have in WC's ability to take advantage of this situation.

I will be sad when I no longer have this thread to come home to each night.
me heading home when the world no longer has a Jakey trade thread
Hopefully Bird is delisted after the trade period.Fair enough don't think Essendon would take him anyway we have Craig Bird.
The Dogs wouldn't be chasing West Coast for a pick swap if they were going to keep Stringer. Deal will get done.Dont actually see the point of doing anything. Especially with picks off in the never never.
We can put Stringer up for trade next year. Even if we get only second or third- we will be better off.
JMac needs to get his shit together here.

AFL clubs simply have a wide range of factors that they often value more than getting a better value for their assets. You are probably right- but don't see why when we have to pay a premium and we are talking future picks.
We have all of next year to sort out Stringer and we don't get the player until 2019. It's like derivatives trading - utterly futile
Hope Jake gets it together and gets back to AA form, learns how to lead and chase, sorts out his personal life and conquers his addictions. But if he can't simultaneously pull all that off, there will be a new melty Stringer thread to keep you warm at night.I will be sad when I no longer have this thread to come home to each night.

Says the bloke whos club is frantically swapping picks and throwing more and more in the bowl so they can clutch a first rounder and scream they didn't lost the trade and got what they wanted.Essendon supporters so obsessed with winning a trade.
What will it be like when they win a final?
He needs to get a tank. Essendon will want him to spend a lot more time in the mid. If the price in the end is picks 25 and 30 its worth the risk of him blowing up Fev at Lions style.Hope Jake gets it together and gets back to AA form, learns how to lead and chase, sorts out his personal life and conquers his addictions. You could trade Campbell to the eagles, they after some ruck cover?Thank God we don't have the list spots to accommodate Masten!
Might actually find out the answer next seasonEssendon supporters so obsessed with winning a trade.

Slim. He will be joining Essendon and we all move on.What are the odds now that... nothing happens?
Hmm doubt that is a great look. Club says it would be best for both parties to look elsewhere, then hold him to a contract for him not to play for 12 months? You are probably right- but don't see why when we have to pay a premium and we are talking future picks.
