Toast Jamarra Ugle-Hagan - Welcome to the club

Would like Jamarra to be given more opportunity in different positions around the ground. Maybe he’s put on a wing for 5 minutes each quarter, even behind the ball to get him into the game.

Big believer in the Naughton, Darcy, JUH trio but it needs to be managed slightly better so that we have only 2 (most of the time) in the same forward 50. Might limit the number of times they end up crashing into each other.
He doesn't have the fitness to play in other positions which is why he just stands around in the forward line sightseeing

The first thing he needs to do is start leading up the middle of the ground. He receives the ball far too often on the 50m line on the forward flanks. His goal kicking clearly isn’t good but they are lower percentage shots.

That’s on Jamarra but it’s also largely coaching and game plan.

It’s a worry at present. He needs to put in more second efforts. Hopefully it is mostly fitness but it also looks like a lack of intent as well.

It is a challenge our coaches need to figure out if we are to improve moving forward.

Does anyone know why Jamara was not at training this morning?
It wouldn't be hugely surprising if the club gave him the week off to go visit family. I don't know if that is what has happened here but given the year he's had it wouldn't surprise me.

I was looking at him at Mars Bar stadium last week & he's a big unit. 197cm at least, and he's put on the muscle.

I know thst Naughton chases and harries like a lurcher, but you can't expect every tall forward to do that. We're a bit spoiled by all action Naughton.

Marra has it in him in bursts, I'll never forget the Carlton game he went stride for stride with Saad over 20m. Its the repeat efforts that bust his tank but that'll only get better with age.
