Traded James Stewart [traded to Essendon for pick 77]

Remember being disappointed we didn't give him a look given our threadbare KPF stocks. Looks like he's been a decent pick up though. 22 odd goals in 15 games? Not a bad result for the pick he cost. Still young and should only improve you'd think.

Been a great acquisition for the Bombers.

Real win/ win trade, can argue it's not a win for the Giants by only getting 77 in return but they needed to bank points for Academy picks.

Liking the way Stewart plays and alongside Daniher the Bombers have there front half KPP's sorted for the next decade

I don't think you value his worth on goals alone

I know ppl will say youre a fwd, your job is to score goals but Stewart is different for a tall

he's on his bike most of the match, linking play, moving, crating spaces for the other two talls. He's very mobile and not your traditional tall player, he not very strong in the air in a contested mark sense... but if you don't play a tall on him he will become a target and kick the goals.

Well Collingwood get more inside 50's and Moore being the #1 target inside 50 in all likelihood, compared to Stewart being probably the 4th behind Daniher, Hooker and Fantasia when they're playing in all likelihood means yes, Stewart would have less opportunities than Moore to kick goals.

So what you're saying is that because Stewart is kicking more goals/game in a more efficient forward line, Moore's better?

What I'm mainly saying is Moore is better than Stewart because he is obviously better than Stewart. It doesn't really require any more qualification after that.

Essendon supporters don't like it when you don't praise their players.
Not true at all. Different types of players.
Moore is is a very good talent and will be a excellent footballer. Stewart won't get to his heights IMO but plays his role well and is a pretty integral part of our system

Lol because that's the obvious answer that all non-Essendon supporters would pick or...?
Lol because nobody takes the bloke who kicked just 3 more goals despite playing 6 more games as the number 1 forward.

I rate Darcy. He'll follow a similar trajectory to Daniher, in fact he already is. Next year he'll almost be ready, probably kick 35/40 and then 2019 will provide real headaches.

Undoubtedly he'll be the better player out of him and Stewart and won't be close.

But for the game against Sydney in 2 weeks? I'll take the bloke who averaged more goals per game.

One of the great bargains last off-season. Bombers fans are happy to finally have three KPFs that look promising. Stewart really coming into his own at the back half of the season too. Just needs to stay 'in' the game for four quarters, has a habit of having a good half but then going missing.

It was a cheap dig from me - I do rate Stewart, the Bombers might have just nabbed a 35-50 goal a year forward for pick 77 here. As some would have acknowledged by now, I'm a big fan of Essendon's list management and they'll be rewarded in the next few years.
