Jason Akermanis - 'Open Season'

Impressive effort to have the book "finally released" when it was nothing more than a couple of pages of scribbled notes 2 weeks ago according to the author.

:thumbsu:

Can't believe more hasn't been made of this. For all those conspiracy nuts (most in the truly ridiculous sack Gia thread), this is proof for mine that you just can't believe anything the bloke says regarding the Bulldogs

And?.......whats the rest of story you allude too?..
Let's see if we can work this out MacMum. Here are the facts as we know them.

a) Simon Cox left the Bulldogs at the end of 2001.
b) Aker arrived at the Bulldogs at the end of 2006.

Nope...........I can't work out how anyone would have any interest in what Aker has to say about Simon Cox, or anything else for that matter.

It's been said before in print, though the average TFS viewer probably doesn't read that much.

Publisher/Ghost Writer also contradict his statement on criticising team mates as well.

What he said on the TFS

Akermanis denied he had criticised his ex-teammates in the book and said he was being punished for something that had not eventuated.

What his ghost writer said

THE co-author of Akermanis's book said the triple premiership player has been ``brutally honest'' about his fractured relationship with three players -- Robert Murphy, Daniel Giansiracusa and Ben Hudson.

Regarding the reason Simon Cox left the club, i.e. Scott West.

My personal view is that i am grateful the club has made the correct decision as he was clearly more than a few notes taken into this book..

Do i care if it revels that a curtain player is doing X or another has done X? Maybe yes..
But what this tells me is that Aka has no values or mates..
Hell i have some things i could tell people about my mates and put them in a pressured situation but it just shows the character within and that i'm not a dog of a man to do something like this..

If Aka feels he is benefiting from reveling things that are a privilege to be apart of a team then he's every bit selfish.

Good on him on bring out a book but it will just show me he is no mate to anyone..

Ok, I'll bite. Why would David Smorgon or Scott West be a little nervous?

You mean to say that you haven't heard the stories about your lilly white club? They must run a tight ship down there. But remember, all is not as it seems behind the pleasant smiles and the glossy veneer.
