Look in your own back yard if you want to witness vitriole. Your supporters and David King have been disgusting and still are, some celebrating the injury and hoping he never plays again. Be proud, very proud.I must ask when I ever attacked JHF.
All I said was different specialists may have different recommendations.
This from today:
"Following consultation with numerous specialists, and consideration of the advised options as to how to treat the issue, we decided it was best for Jason's health, and ongoing football performance, that he have the surgery now to release the pressure on the arteries and restore normal blood flow to his lower legs."
Indicates to me that surgery is one of a few options that were considered, and that's fine, I don't really care either way. We may have had something else recommended to us.
I don't understand the vitriol when every afl club and player is constantly analysing potential treatments and weighing up risks involved in each course of action.
Anyway, I'll step back as you all seem hell bent on 'winning' this discussion and I don't appreciate being called thick. Best of luck. Hope he goes well.
Vitriol against myself, I thought that was clear.Look in your own back yard if you want to witness vitriole. Your supporters and David King have been disgusting and still are, some celebrating the injury and hoping he never plays again. Be proud, very proud.
No, you havent attacked him personally, my comment was aimed at the general attack from many North supporters on social media, your ambassadors like King, and other Victorian media personalities like Breraton. Kudos to you for not being part of the constant attack on a 19 y/o kid.I must ask when I ever attacked JHF.

Has it been diagnosed as popliteal artery entrapment syndrome or is that just the prevailing theory? From what I've briefly read that's a calf surgery issue, what if it's Chronic exertional compartment syndrome? No, you havent attacked him personally, my comment was aimed at the general attack from many North supporters on social media, your ambassadors like King, and other Victorian media personalities like Breraton. The vitriol, is due to the garbage that has been thrown at JHF, the Francis family, and Port Adelaide. This latest news has me absolutely furious at North Melbourne medicos .... Ice baths to treat a vascular blockage! Good Lord! OK, they probably didnt know it at the time, but this kid has been vilified in the Melbourne media for wanting to not do them, when all along he should never have been near an ice-bath with his condition.
It is strange to report artery compression if it was actually an issue with muscle fascia.Has it been diagnosed as popliteal artery entrapment syndrome or is that just the prevailing theory? Is it? Closest ive come to giving someone a diagnosis in my life is "off ya chops"It is strange to report artery compression if it was actually an issue with muscle fascia.
I for one welcome the North Hobart Launcestons to the AFL, with a double headed apple as their mascot, symbolising the agricultural produce and practices of the Isle.
Yes, it is strange. No, they are both causes. The only reported symptom has been bilateral pain in the calves and feet.Is it? Closest ive come to giving someone a diagnosis in my life is "off ya chops"
But I'd think ones a symptom and one is a cause
1 less club in Victoria would be good for the competitionI'd rather see the SUNS licence go to Tasmania tbh. In fact I'd like to see N0rf improve a bit, so they no longer need special assistance from the AFL - the draft is compromised enough as it is.

It’s a rare condition but the fact that north couldn’t work it out is pretty laughable. Once again a s**t club has s**t doctors
Unglik was the Head Doctor of the Kangaroos from 1983-2001, which included two Premierships in 1996 and 1999. He served as Chief Medical Officer at the AFL for 16 years and has been instrumental in the formation of many of the medical policies and regulations the league adheres to.
In 2014 Unglik was awarded Life Membership at the AFL.
Unglik’s experience and expertise saw him selected as an Olympic Doctor in Sydney in 2000 and All-Australian AFL team doctor in 2000 and 2001.
On your board, eh? So he's not on your medical team, and therefore has absolutely no relevance to this discussion? This bloke is on our board, and was specifically added to improve our medical team:

“I look forward to helping out in any way I can, with medical, strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, the sports science part of the club, which is a very important part as well as mental health. The physical and mental health of all players and staff is fundamental to the success of an AFL club. I look forward to adding value in these areas and any other areas where I can bring my industry experience to the fore."
You're going to be disappointed. If you think simply getting him back home changes things, or it was all because of us, you're kidding yourselves, but that will become apparent, indeed already is.
Gee if he's that good I would be raptNorth Board appointment
North Melbourne has welcomed life member, former club doctor and former AFL chief medical officer, Dr Harry Unglik, to the Board.www.nmfc.com.au
There's not going to be any dull moments with Jason. In a year I saw him do some of the most stunning things I've ever seen a player do in a North jumper, both good and bad.
I bear him no personal ill will. Along with some others, I sponsored the kid, met him a couple of times, he's a nice young man.
But he's got a great deal going on, much of which will likely play itself out over his career.

He reminds me of Gary Ablett Snr ...
