Why would Brisbane do this? Regardless of needing it for the Dunkley trade, it’s a horrible move for them.

I’d be livid if Port traded pick 15 for three picks in the 30s, 40s and 50s.

They just need points for Ashcroft.

Surely what was said on SA local radio and parroting it here is worse than parroting trade threads boards. If i wanted to listen to Rowie or his diabetic FM equivalent, i would.

How many picks on the back end would thats Brisbane trade actually move them up? Presuming Ashcroft goes pick 1

According to NINE News Port have traded the 27 compensation pick for three picks somewhere in the 30s 40s and 50s. They reported that Chris Davies said this trade would help secure Rioli and Horne-Francis. They didn't say how this was supposed to happen.

Nearly choked on my dinner when Kochie said JHF would develop well under Ken Hinkley. Kochie did give the impression that the JHF move was a done deal but Koch is not doing the negotiating.

Here ya go...

While Port sent Pick 27 the Demons' way, Port received selections 33, 43 and 53 in return.

Jon Ralph seems to think two firsts and a third rounder should get the JHF deal done. Maybe that is why we traded picks with Melbourne? Not sure how it gets the Rioli deal done though, unless of course we are planning to trade a certain West Australian back to his home State. WCE were originally saying they wanted the 27 pick. I hope a future second round for Rioli is not on our mind.

Whilst Brisbane have been kissed on the dick to get a kid thats lived in Victoria the past 13+ years of his life nominate as a FS (my theory is that if it was a stronger Vic club instead of the rabble that is North he says no to the FS)

Its a bad year to have a early Nominee as no1 is throwing themselves to get another teens pick in this draft

You're quite brilliant champ, how long did it take you to make that meme up,my guess, all day.

My point is,as you clearly can't read,is if we have to give up a player to do the deal,it would be Dhuursma before Bergman or Sinn, also said I would prefer to keep him.

You missed the point.

Drop the H.

The things that baffles me is that North had the offer of three first round draft picks last year, but decided to gamble on their culture winning over a young kid who was labelled a clear flight risk from the very beginning. They then lost that gamble and are now expecting to come out of this ahead. That’s not how gambling works. When you gamble and lose, you come out with less than what you went in with.
The Crows lapsed offer of three first rounders last year was predicated on a second rounder coming back.
So it was never three picks

Trade period can be ridiculous.

Port won’t offer much more than 2 first rounders or 1 first rounder and a decent player and the Roos wouldn’t except anything less.

The arguments are over steak knives and ridiculous talk about Butters and Georgiades et al is just wasting everyone’s time.
He is contracted; therefore we must pay overs.
Two picks and a player (who was not a first round pick)

Absolutely agree with you. If you caught any of Jarman on MMM this Arvo he was having a salty meltdown and reckons Port need to trade 2 players and 2 first round picks for JHF.

However Rankine has done his time and a 2nd rounder at best will do lol.

Trade week needs to be 3 days and needs to just be done as quickly as possible.

It is not the picks they require it is the accumulated value of the points.
For example, if North select Ashcroft with the first pick, the Lions will match it.

That is Pick 1 = 3,000 points less the father/son discount, the Lions must fork out 2,400 points

You can understand how the Crows sycophants might be upset. That club made a calculated effort over the last few years to draft South Australian born players to combat the problem of the Victorian ones continually leaving.

They see it as their duty and their right to grab every SA kid that's available and they earned that by being a place that Victorian kids never felt comfortable.

Yes trade week is just too long…surely the ground work has already been done..it’s just to push ratings I guess.
