I wonder if recent comments from recent crows helped influence JHFs decision.

Unlike Rankine he hasn’t grown up a massive crows fan so he’s not going to be blinded by that.

A lot of players had a bit to say about the camp, Bryce Ginbs has said a few things and knows him well and most recently I saw Richard Douglass had a say on why port was doing things better:

People

“It’s all about people.

“Port all-in-all have had better relationships with their players.

“We know the Crows have had things that have happened and have been well-publicised in the media.

“That doesn’t go down well if you’re wanting to come to a club. They take note of that.”

He also mentions us being more proactive and performing better as reasons, but the above would hurt coming from an ex player.

Lol. 90% of Norf supporters would probably rather fold entirely than see that happen.
Going on their JHF thread it seems like they'd rather fold than take anything less than 3 first round picks and Butters.

Some of the personal comments around Hinkley, his family and interests out of football are genuinely horrible. As well as some of the weird and psychotic vendettas people have against him and Koch.

Stones and glasshouses.
Maybe the hinkleys and their extended family shouldn't be accepting cushy jobs purely because they know the head coach.

Some of the Donna & Jordan stuff crosses the line, and I don't really think he's a fraud as many claim in the heat of the moment.

Just an AFL standard coach who will never take us the way, because of his risk averse nature. He won't put it all on the line. At worst you could say he uses his strength in building relationships with the people who can shield him from accountability for his weaknesses, rather than take ownership for them and change.

Sack Hinkley

His family are heavily involved in the club thanks to nepotism. His family put the club over a barrel to have him extended. His interests outside football have now led to syndicate involving players and other officials inside the club.

Yeah, being involved in greyhound ownership syndicates with fellow members of the football department and current players isn’t a conflict of interest at all.

In fact, it’s the mark of a club firing on all cylinders.

The other thing is JHF is 19. Do people remember being 19? You haven't got a clue about anything and your character is nowhere near fully formed. Most people would cringe at the things they said and did when they were 19. It's ridiculous to hold JHF to some gold standard of behaviour like he's expected to be Scott Pendlebury or Travis Boak.
This has been my view all along. I'd much rather we hold him for another year and see what happens as he matures.

Lol apparently the worth of a player is to be judged by how sad we would be to see them go. Interesting way to expect Rawlings to conduct a negotiation.

You would think north are close to a flag the way they’re carrying on about losing a player who had little impact in their pathetic excuse of a footy team. For heavens sake, the kid wants to leave for obvious reasons, you’ll get compensated no doubt, why jump up and down like a bunch of hookers that have been short changed..nasty supporters, up there with the girlfriends from west lakes.

what does this look like? how do you know?

Norf supporters potting Bonner but have Kane Turner in there best 22.

This is North's current list. Goldstein, Zeibell, Greenwood and Cunnington are basically finished.

Davies-Unacke I think is a genuine A grader. After that they have a few sold B- B plusers. McKay, Simpkin, McDonald, Larkey, Thomas and Zurhaar.

The Great Charlie Lazarro is on another plane but after that it is a sea of plodders and a few up and comers.

Bonner at least offers them a penetrating left leg. He would be in their best 15 players.
