Was a terrible trade by Freo at the time and now looks even worse.

I like Freo but they are the gift that keep giving in terms of trades.

Where's that big shot Melbourne supporting flog now that didn't want to have a bar of the "mental health" talk pre-trade, and the bunch of smokers that backed him/her up. I'd love to hear your thoughts now!

Did Fremantle only realise Jesse was suffering from clinical anxiety after he went out on another bender and missed Sunday’s training?

They made it clear in their statement they were aware pre trade and have support mechanisms in place to assist.

People need to chill out. Ex players like David King must be having a chuckle because in their day having a few beer too many was part of the game and no one blinked and eye lid.

Players used to have a cigerette at half time in games.

I know they did.

But let’s be frank, Jesse wasn’t missing round 1 because he was suffering from anxiety.

He went out on a bender and missed training. In the professional era you can’t do that, doesn’t matter what players used to do.

Why did go on a bender?

Thats the point and the link to his anxiety.

Some Freo supporters jokingly refer to Hogan as The Chosen One. The one to bring balance to their side. He's the best credencialled kp forward since Pavlich, big shoes to fill there.

So there are massive fan expectaions on Hogan to lead the Freo forward line into a new era.

That is a lot of pressure on one player.

Almost round one and he went on a bender to take the pressure off. Not smart but totally understandable from a human behavioral view.

Anxiety doesn’t lead to going out on a bender.

I follow Jesse on instagram, he likes going out, music festivals, hanging out with the boys, he’s the same as me at the same age, he’s the same as many people at the same age. There’s nothing wrong with that imo.

I at 22 years old had been out to 3am Monday morning when starting work at 7am, looking back it was stupid, but I don’t go blaming it on anxiety
Jesse as a professional footballer he needs to pick his times to enjoy himself better as I should of.

Huge amount of people suffer anxiety everyday, people don’t go out on benders to relieve themselves, that’s just a cop out from the Fremantle football club.

You do realize that there's no set formula for dealing with anxiety right? The drinking is clearly something that helps him deal with it. Obviously it's not a great way to deal with it but Freo have to work out with Jesse how to deal with his anxiety without resorting to getting shitfaced.

A real sliding doors moment for Andrew Brayshaw though.
Could be depending on how Brayshaw turns out, but with the way our retention has gone, having 2 blokes who want to be on the GC is really important to the building of our club going forward. Especially if they are both playing week in, week out.

Are you a highly paid AFL player who has been touted as the 'missing puzzle' to solve Fremantle's forward line issues?

Are you under that much pressure in your job?

No. I didn't think so.

I've suffered from anxiety and depression for years. For seemingly no logical reason you start to panic and stress about the smallest things. A deadline that really doesn't matter in the whole scheme of things becomes a major stress. Before you know it you get short of breath and try and rush things.

Nothing I have experienced in life would compare to the pressure Hogan is under as an AFL star going to a club that has been chasing a player like him for years. Massive pressure.

Can't you see how that could cause anxiety and stress?

Then its up to the individual on how they deal with it. I've used alcohol to release the pressure, the problem is it only helps for a short time and then you are back to square one.

I more just meant that he wouldn't have been at Optus Stadium on 5 August 2018 if he'd been drafted to the Gold Coast :p

Two for One really not that bad , Weller availability to play so far pretty good, play full season last year , especially with GC players injuries record , you should knew more than me how important players availability were for any AFL teams.
