Thank you, finally someone who sees it as it is. It’s all Freo can offer right now as it’s all we have. Can’t trade picks we don’t hve.

Anyone here bought a car? Do you waln in and offer your best straight away? Geez

The car analogy is probably a little off the mark. At the moment, you guys are more like the T-shirt salesman in Thailand

They way Freo are going they will have burned Hogan and will refuse to go there.

You guys just need to hold on for 12 months, free up some cap, maybe trade a few picks and possibly a swap with young Brander to Melbourne and you have your ready made Kennedy replacement.

Yeah nah. Players can't be juggled like that. Only picks can.

They can as part of a multi-deal.

So players cannot be on-traded but GCS can do the bidding on before of Melbourne to push through a multi deal so ultimately Freo or West coast can cough up the desired compo to allow the full deal to emerge and players go where they want to go without other clubs restricting trade options through narrow bilateral set-ups.

For example, Melbourne agree theoretically on the currency between May and Hogan, Melbourne have the extra pick(s) in limbo quarantined, then GCS needs to offload Hogan to West Coast or Freo via Adelaide/Port and other deals as part of a multi deal. Melbourne can assist knowledge wise with GCS in this task because if Melbourne can't off load Hogan, GCS can't offload May.This can be down in the cloud on a spreadsheet, Once the full agreement is reached between all clubs they can convene and sign-off.

The point is this set-up promotes clarity and brings more options to the table in a multi-deal

If we've seriously only offered 11 and a future second we're on crack.
It’s all the Dockers have to offer at this stage. I expect a deal will still get done, post Neale. That said, it’s not a great look for Freo that the media have got hold of it.
There’s irony that Sam McClure is carrying on though. He’s been pretty relentless in opining that Hogan is only worth one first rounder. Earlier today he stated that all he would offer for Hogan is pick 11.

The West is reporting that this is only an initial offer and that both clubs are happy to negotiate.

"However the two clubs are openly discussing a deal for him. The news of the Demons rejecting the offer was reported by multiple outlets on Thursday afternoon"

Move on..

because they also risk of another Western Australian club getting involved in 12 months time. I know which club id prefer to play the rest of my career out with.

While that is true, Eagles also have a lot less to work with unless they seriously turn to shit next season. They also don’t have any high value players hitting free agency either; Gaff was pretty much that. Eagles being able to get the picks to satisfy Melb seems unlikely.

Same guy who thought only Hawthorn could beat Richmond and many other useless observations. Ignore him.

Nope.

Jay Clark has been immaculate on Melbourne for about 5 years now, he wouldn’t put that ‘prepared to deal with West Coast’ line if his source hadn’t said it.

obsessed much

Strewth. Ya not wrong. He needs to get a job. Too bad trolling doesn't pay the bills.

What if it's a used Ferrari with a rusty bent chasis? Haha.
