Hey just wanted peoples thoughts on Lewis Jetta's celebration in West Coast's demolition job on Sydney.

I don't generally mind players sticking it to the crowd, take Michael O'Loughlin in 2006 giving it to KFC guy. That was hilarious.

However it just seemed out of place today, due to the fact that his team was getting smashed with no hope of a comeback. The O'loughlin goal justified the celebration, as it was the winning goal in a tight final against a bitter rival. The celebration here just seemed a bit contrived and forced, like he was trying to copy his friend who is too holy for discussion on a mere football forum (he is not to be mentioned in this thread). The spear throwing looked a bit sad too, that just eggs the crowd on to keep booing and does nothing except reinforce some unfortunate mentalities (which will not be discussed in this thread as it is banned on the main board).

I'm not offended by the celebration. I just think it looks a bit silly to do it when your team is getting embarrassed.

A penny for your thoughts please.

Its a ****ing celebration, why are we bringing down those try to do something creative with it.

FWIW it was much better than Goodes, got to the spear throw much quicker.

He just looked like a bit of a tit when his team is that far behind.

Was good, he was sticking up for his teammate, good on him.

People lament the state of the game with one breath but then also move to destroy or tear down any personal display of fire or passion. I don't want soccer celebrations after every single goal but it was refreshing to see someone give a shit.

when goodes did it he had already had about a billion douchebag points built up before so of course people were gonna hate it.

but jetta hasn't ruffled any feathers so people will forget about it. I like that he's sticking up for his mate but in all likelihood he's probably just made the booing worse.

No, the booing is silly. Poeple need to gtf over it already. Theres dozens of players in the comp that are more annoying/cheats/arrogant (whatever the excuses is these days)
Jetta has to play alongside his mate get booed every week, every touch he gets.
The 'supporters' should stop being such childish douche bags.

Gary's Caros Arrow is very underrated
