I remember one year there was an offer for those joining AFL fantasy, doesn't seem to be this year.

Thanks steve but $4.99 weekly pass is all I'm seeing as a Telstra mobile customer, linked my Telstra on the AFL site but couldn't see how I get it for free... downloaded the app after it redirected me to iTunes but nah doesn't show up as Active unless I get the $4.99 weekly deal.

I get messages/emails saying that I have a free live pass, and I need to click some link, and then it works

Could have something to do with me being on prepaid, their wording of "regular $30+ customer" is very ambiguous.

I'm doing this off the top of my head but I'm sure it is fairly accurate as I've no way of looking it up.

You can register from within the AFL Live app. Need to be on 4G not wifi to do it.
If you press "Live Pass", there should be an option "Subscription" or similar.
If it works the letter "T" there should have a green mark to show you're connected.
