Sounds an appropriate response. On the face of it though, Willie has acted in the dumbest manner ever seen.
Yeah for sure - & I doubt it'll do much to reduce his punishment in this instance

Awesome. Keep us updated.I sent a polite but firm message to the AFL integrity division as listed on their website, regarding the Willie Rioli non decision, will probably not here anything back, but it made me feel better.
I’m very angry about the way this human being has been treated, no one should be kept in limbo for this long. People need to be held accountable for this process. I’d be getting personal legal advice in regards to compensation if I were Willie.
Just saw this on his insta story... I wonder if he knows something we don't

The tribunal hearing was held and concluded on 16 December, 59 days ago.
The Essendon 34-player tribunal hearing was held over several sessions over several months, the final one of which was sometime in February 2015. So 1 February at the earliest.
That decision was handed down by the tribunal on 31 March 2015, ie an absolute maximum of 58 days after the conclusion of the hearing.
Even allowing for Covid related delays, I fail to see how it is possible that the tribunal can take longer to deliberate on charges against one player that took a day to hear, than they took in relation to charges against 34 players that took multiple days over several months to hear.
That's it isn't it? This case should have all been wrapped up long before now.
The presumption can only be that there has been a ****-up somewhere in either the way the sample was observed or communication that was given to Rioli - which has resulted in a situation where a violation in testing has occurred, but may have been avoided if observation protocols were followed to the letter.
If the procurement of the sample is indeed implicated, it could be a potential source of delay as the AFL tries to come up with a means of avoiding grounds for being sued by Rioli and West Coast whilst keeping ASADA onside.
We got WitherdenDecision imminent...
Not illegal but a silly look atm with what's happening lol
It is but just reinforces why a decision needs to be made. Cant imagine how frustrating it must be for him at the moment. He needs to be able to get on with his life whatever the penalty and deserves to know his fate
The silence from the AFL is ridiculous
