Trevor Nisbett on TAB radio re Willie
“We’re just waiting for a final outcome there. We know it’s close and obviously our main aim is to be really conscious of Willie’s welfare and keep looking after him until that final outcome comes. Of course there’s a lot of different things that have to happen before we get that final handing down of penalty and appeals and everything else. So we’re waiting like everyone is to get that finally and we’re hoping that happens probably as early as the first or second week in March with any luck. But we’ve been saying that for a while and I know people are frustrated with it so no more frustrated than I guess Willie and the football club.”
So it’s now “as early as” the 1st or 2nd week in March FFS for a decision on a hearing held mid December. Couple that with “final handing down of penalty and appeals and everything else” and it’s hard not to draw a conclusion that there’s a not insignificant amount of behind the scenes negotiating.
Complete ******* circus
It’s worth listening to the rest of the interview that discusses the football department cap, possible hubs, Vozzo to Adelaide and Simpson maybe extending his contract. The Willie bit comes near the end if you want to skip the foreplay.

I agree because the appeals process, if undertaken, could take a year.Oof mid march now - big WTF
I do find the use of the term "final outcome" a little odd though
I agree because the appeals process, if undertaken, could take a year.
It seems to me that all parties are trying to work behind the scenes to come up with a suitable penalty.
It would be virtually impossible to keep the penalty secret in that scenario, highly unlikely.Yeah could the case.
I wonder whether an interim decision has been handed down & they're waiting for appeal rights (21 days from memory) to lapse before going public with the outcome. Would make sense from a mental health perspective to wait to release the final outcome rather than having this potentially drag on through the media if either party appeals.

This could be timed perfectly to coincide with my delivery from freedom furniture for a side table, tv unit and bench seat.
been sitting on that for a while now
Give yourself an uppercutGuess that confirms it. I am the AFL
Give yourself a pay rise
Losing Vozzo would be a big loss. I'd rather Nisbett put his hand up with a transition arrangement for Vozzo to become our CEO. Cant see him staying for too many more years and Vozzo was clearly groomed to replace him.Sounds like Vozzo might take up that spot at Adelaide
Massive to loose Selwood, Glass and Vozzo all in one year as they were high up in their departments.
Number of years Nesbitt has been CEO of the club
Key words are Rioli sought a hearing in August 2020.'Rioli sought a hearing in August 2020' so what......they didn't start any work on this case until then? it makes it sound like this just happened 6 months ago.
