West Coast Eagles premiership player Willie Rioli has been provisionally banned under the AFL's anti-doping code and will not play in the semi-final against Geelong on Friday night.

Rioli is accused of tampering with urine samples being collected by ASADA. He has not returned a positive drug test.

I can accept some kind of accidental consumption of a legal substance containing a banned ingredient

But if this is proven to be something like cocaine that he has chosen to take over the course of the week, on the eve of a semi final, and been caught.......he arguably needs to be sacked

Just wanting to say that if it is illicit drugs only - then I don't see it as performance enhancing and this is where the AFL's drug policy exceeds community expectations imo. Hopefully young Rioli (if it is him that is being spoken about) can see the light and steer clear of them going forward. Hoping any punishment is very limited

So if he hasn't been proven to have taken anything but tampered with ASADA testing equipment how long's the ban for? Im assuming the rest of the season, but how many in 2020?
