AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
He already is.If he maintains this form for the rest of his season this year, I'll definitely put him top 5-10 midfielders in the league.
Bloody freak.
He already is.
1. AblettIn that top 10 mids of the comp thread i had him at number 2 on my list. I have seen nothing from him which makes me think i was incorrect.
1. Ablett
2. Hayes
3. Montagna
4. Judd
5. Swan
6. Dal Santo
7. Selwood
After this round Selwood and Swan will probably move up.
Yes of course it is. Otherwise I'd have players like Goodes, Bartel and Black in it.I assume this list is based on current form? If not Judd/Selwood and NDS >>>>>>> Montagna imho.
Games like today prove that is wrong. He is a superstar.I don't think anyone ever said Joel Selwood wasn't a very good player. I think the point was debated that he isn't a superstar of the AFL like Judd, Pavilich, Ablett & Buddy.
Daniel Kerr seems like an apt analogy.

Boy, imagine if the Hawks ha have taken him with pick 6
He really is the complete footballer as far as midfielders go, pace being the only thing he doesn't really have.If he keeps traveling the path he is on, he could become one of, if not the greatest player ever. He does everything you could ever want out of a player.
Rohan Connolly gave Selwood 10 votes for his effort yesterday - the maximum amount of votes possible. I'm not sure if anyone has ever gotten 10 before, 9 is usually the most they give out to a star.
What does any of that have to do with anything? Rohan Connolly has been a football analyst for many years and has watched a shitload of football. His credentials are only somewhat relevant, because his opinion that Selwood played a bloody awesome game is hardly one that isn't widely held.Rohan Connolly? Really? WOW.
Leigh Matthews & James Hird rated Hodge the best in the GF, yet Cat fans thought they were wrong. What would those 2 past players know.
Rohan Connolly gives Selwood a 10 and suddenly he's the expert
Gotta love Cat fans... they sure are battlers
What are you actually trying to say with your post? It seems to have nothing to do with Joel Selwood or his performance.

Yep, I thought that then and I think that now. In my opinion Ablett was clearly best on ground. If you wanted to choose a Hawthorn player as they won - Sewell would have been my choice. Norm Smith medals often go to the best story as opposed to the best player. Steve Johnson the year before was very similar - Scarlett or Chapman were just as good.
Daring to disagree with an ex-player doesn't make you an idiot.
And I don't care what any journalist says about Geelong, it's irrelevant.
