No, actually, completely different.
1 is a clearly best 18 player who just finished 3rd in our BnF. The other is a very handy depth player, but not best 22.
Stamos. Now is probably the time to quit while you’re still only marginally behind. The real point is that, like many players, every year is an opportunity to go from handy depth to B&F calculations.

My confidence in him based on SEEING him make many costly mistakes.
As pointed out many, many times during the season, often the ‘mistakes’ that get pinned on Plowman are because he is trying to cover someone else’s **** up or missed assignment. He just happens to be the one on the screen because he was smart enough to switch and try to get to the loose player while their actual match up is out of position. Sometimes it works and sometimes it looks like an error.

Coaches are smart enough to know who should have been there and give Plowman recognition for seeing the danger and trying to do something about it.

Sure, he makes some mistakes, all players do, would be impossible to concede 60+ forward entries and expect the defence to stop every one of them.

Hate when defenders are blamed as they ‘cost’ the game with a missed spoil or a kick results in a goal to the opposition, yet we never pin the loss directly on the mids who can’t hit a forward target or forwards that drop marks and miss shots they should make. All of them cost the side goals from the turnover, defenders are the ones hated on by supporters as they are on screen when the resultant goal is scored.

Makes no sense, especially when it is all based on perception that rarely reflects the reality.

Plowman hasn't been depth since he's come over, like ever. But I'm not sure if that was the crux of your post.

I like Plow. Other than a single moment of frustration in one game this season I’ve been a big rap for him.

The crux of my underlying message referred to Gibbo‘s progression in 2020. I think he’ll be valuably good in 2020; and I reject the notion that a top 10 B&F finish on his part would mean CFC had a shite year.

Also watching the segment with walsh and murlhy it's a bit sad that they won't play many years together.

If only Murphy was younger...i could see those two carving teams up. Two midfielders who are ball magnets, endurance beasts, great link up players and can kick goals.

unfortunately we won't get to watch them both at their best together...our midfield would already be dominant with a 28 yr old Murphy and a 21 yr old Walsh together with cripps and co.

I actually watch him very closely and he makes costly mistakes most weeks. He was not our 3rd best players this season and should not have finished within 9 votes of Cripps.
Try watching closely while looking for positives and you will see many.
He was our third best player in the eyes of those in the know.

Well he did and the coaches thought so as well.

Was sitting at the table behind Scoop McClure. Let’s see if he has any news that comes out of last night.

The only 2 players I didn’t spot last night were Charlie and Harry. Did anyone see them in attendance?

Someone I know who attended said that Charlie and Harry were sick. She didn't say what with.

This would explain why Charlie didn't attend.

Not too sure about Harry though.
