I elected to challenge Jon Ralph and Robbo on twitter, by sharing the article on news.com.au about girls rating guys on TikTok that was shared earlier in this thread.
Ralph replied suggesting that the article 'wasn't hypocritical and that IQ and Ginni shouldn't have mocked homeless people or commented on women's teeth after the Jordy video. If you can't see the distinction, I can't help you'

I suggested that it was a Tik Tok of a fictional person and that people had been determining potential mates on the basis of physical prowess and socio economic status for centuries.
I then suggested they were hypocrites in the media for feeding the masses programs like Love Island and then admonishing players for behaving in a similar manner, neither of which was illegal or non-consensual.
I then followed up suggesting that if he and his colleagues can't see the distinction between Ginnivan controlling the football and drawing high contact and Weightman diving and putting himself out of the contest by faking being pushed then I couldn't help him.

Happy to play my small part in pushing back against the press. Bunch of hypocrites need to be called out.

Homeless people are unlikely to see it. Certainly none of those I see daily on St Kilda streets would have access to the internet. As for crooked teeth, I think most people are aware of defects or assets in their appearance. I don't think a numerical reference to a less than perfect set of teeth is going to particularly hurt anyone. Comedians make references to bodily imperfections without being censored and do so for laughs. I think you are being a little too precious in your criticism of the video.

It’s not a great idea for footy clubs to risk offending the folks they’re supposed to be representing - whether those folks are indigenous, female, homeless, got crooked teeth, whatever. Especially for a footy club like ours that considers itself to be egalitarian.

What Q and Ginnivan’s did wasn’t by any means a hanging offence, it was just a little thoughtless - they’ve apologised, no sanction, we move on.

Clubs coming out of the woodworks now expressing interest in him leads me to believe he has either been told or he has told the club he won’t be at Collingwood in 2023. Can’t think of any other reason why clubs would be expressing interest in someone after they’ve just had a scandal.

If they were interested before, they wouldn’t have needed to come out now and express it or leak their interest.

I don’t buy into the idea they’re trying to unsettle him/the club. The club is much bigger than that and if they thought they were keeping him or he was staying, it’d be a pointless ploy.

Because the media is trying to get every last drop out of this story. So they ask Chris Scott what he’d do, he responds and they get the next couple of days covered.
