Jordy doesnt take any medication for it coz he reckons itll change his decision making on field

Managed doesn’t have to mean medicated. I’m sure there would be therapies he could try, to find a routine that suits him.

Hes hard to stop. He’s more than happy and willing to be a link man and accumulator when required, and then turn on the enigma and power when that’s needed too. He’s got that balance right…. He knows he doesn’t have to be the match winner, but also knows he can be the match winner when it’s his turn.

He seems to have a very tight relationship with cox. They were in perfect synchronicity all day yesterday.

Side point…. People talk about him as if he’s suddenly turned the corner. I reckon he was just as good ( on field at least) last year. This sudden improvement is no5 as sudden as people are making it out to be.

Having said that this year he has improved again and I agree that he seems very focussed. The prime example being how he kept his composure with that ridiculous not sufficient intent decision in the Crows game.
He's never been one to lose it on the field. Bruzzy and Adams are the ones likely to give away 50s in that situation.

Often just being diagnosed seems to have a big impact. Knowing that you're not just a moron, but hardwired to be reckless and impulsive seems to take away an element of it.

Yeah true, but he was more composed than most mere humans in that situation, including other cool cats like Pendles.

There are some great results with CBD oil atm. I know I muck around a bit but this is a field I've worked in for over 20 years. It's a bit ironic because people think I'm crazy but I do have a serious side

My son suffers from Asperger's - as I do to a very much lesser extent - he is working overseas as a team leader for Cyrix systems (the people who opened the internet up for the common user).

He - and I - manage our condition which is much more socially impactful through non drug methods very successfully.

It was fantastic to see him bounce back after a subdued performance v Sydney (they weirdly seem to have his measure). It really elevates a team’s midfield when they have a guy that can buy time for others by drawing numbers to them, but can still dish it off. Richmond at their best used to feast off Martin through Edwards, Cotchin, Lambert and more recently Bolton. Adelaide (Dawson) and Collingwood are now cashing in on it.

His work in tandem with Mitchell is also reaching Swan/ Pendles levels and whilst it’s been noticed on here it’s one of the more underrated elements of our mix outside the Collingwood bubble.

My son said his life has changed now on the correct medication. Very hard to concentrate before and now holding down a job and studying Cyber security.

hope coaches are chatting to him about his kicking style when running at top speed .... it looks like a ball drop issue to my untrained eye - and has been ongoing for a while now

[edit] that aside, his work rate and attack on the ball, especially around clearances, is excellent

There was a game late last year where he stuck his arms out in a WTF manner when standing the mark at HB and copped a 50m. That’s about the last time I’ve seen anything significant enough to merit a 50m.

You all know my thoughts on Degs, a trouble merchant with no ceiling as a player, could be goat as far as I'm concerned, has all the attributes to achieve that.

Seems he's left his trouble trading behind and concentrated on his footy.

Will probably be an unpopular view, I'd rate him as good as Naicos potential, even Dusty potential.

Yes that is my view, Degs is potentially as good as Naics, if not better because he has the attributes to be so. Size and strength that Naics may never have and the same ridiculous high level skill set.

Yes they're different type of players, Degs an in and under burst clearance player, Naics more of a Pendles like play reader (Yet another you all know I may rate too highly - like who can rate Pendles too highly?)

Yes I'm a fan and maybe blinded but that's my view.

Not to take away from the rest of your post (De Goey's play this year has been elite), but there is no world in which Jordy's skillset is the equal of Nick's. The ball-use by hand and foot is massively different

Yep - Nick for the curent game. Might have been different a decade ago when it was much more about the contest.

I dunno Degs ball use by and large is very good, equal to Nicks? Maybe, maybe not, not a lot of difference though.
