You cannot have a side that has 22 hard ball players in it. You would end up with a team that is too slow and turns the ball over.

We've got enough skinny receivers mate and not enough hard ball big players, that's the reason why we get pushed aside by teams like west coast and geelong.

I'm sorry guys but I'm not happy with this deal, this bloke is as soft as they come. We've just added another bloke to our receivers list,no wonder the bulldogs were keen to let him go.

Well TB, he's one of us now so give him a go. You may be here in 12 months time raving about how good he's been. Remeber a bloke called Polak? A lot of us eating humble pie over that one.

I always rated polak and even started a rumor he was going to come to the tigers about 3 years ago but he ended up resigning with freo,so I'm never going eat humble pie for that one.

Howdy Chris .. let's bring back AFL Rivals.

Gosh that was fun tormenting that **** from the Syd Swans Rivals Board (Steve, I think his name was).. Aah the good 'ole on-line days.. :D

Don't need all 22 in there and extracting.

I'd like to see Coughlan zoom down a wing delivering lace out passes at full-tilt.

Everyone has their strengths ..

dont no which mark coughlan you have been watchen but he has never been fast and never kicks on his right foot anymore, so i think Mcmahon will b good as a running link up player but sacred a bit, he reminds me a bit to much of fiona (fiora) but see how we go

All the McMahon bashing threads could really come back to haunt people in the future. Might have been wise to sit back and wait until he had played a game for us before executing the kid. Oh well time will tell who was right and who was wrong. For mine I'm happy we have a skilled pacy ball user to come of the HBF and hopefully with a bit luck he will be hitting our forwards in the chest instead of the oppositions backmen as was the case too often this year.

Re: Jordan McMahon - hack!

No he will be showering with Jordan McMahon Geees another outside played would have rathered they tryed for Jude Bolton ahhh well time will tell but quite willing to give him a chance.

yeah...Jude would fit right in at Richmond with his kicking skills:rolleyes:

I think this trade will come back and bite us on the bum. Not particularly happy.

Knock Knock - Anyone home??

It's called making a point ..

Horses for courses - Coughlan: slow, trundling inside extractor, can hardly kick over a jam tin but still very effective in what he does.
- McMahon: won't win a contested pill but when fed the ball has great pace, run-and-carry and delivers well .. very effective in that role.

So my point being is that a team needs all types. Comprehende???

Re: Jordan McMahon - hack!

Just look at our Half Back Line:

P Bowden J Bowden J Mcmahon

Tough.

Our backline is looking stella, King, newman, bowden, thursty, mcmahon and a few more we can throw back but very impressed with our future line up i think we are finally looking forward.

I've bagged McMahon for years, couldn't believe that he was ever rated decent, laughed at the Dogs for wasting a top 10 pick on him, but ...

... now he's in yellow and black I'll give him every chance and probably end up defending him against oppossition supporters after he's had three crap years with us.

How do I sleep with myself? It ain't easy.

(How does my wife sleep with me? That's even tougher.)

No they did not want to get rid of him. There supporters are dissapointed too. Football not all about being tough in and under Mcmahon wont turn ball not like Tivendale and raines.

u haven't watched this guy play have you?

he is exactly like tivendale - a brilliant training ground kick of the ball - but shithouse under pressure

that is why he had such a poor year - after last year, people worked out that the doggies can't handle body pressure and they turn it over

mcmahon was targeted as he was the main offender - and was "the weakest link" in that department

he is EXACTLY like Tivendale in my opinion - but physically smaller

i would love to have egg on my face with this one - but i have seen this bloke play a lot of footy - i was a doggies member for 3 years - with an ex of mine - he is crapola

he had a good year last year - after years of frustration from the dogs in the outer - and after that good year - he got targeted more - and failed miserably.

i hope he can prove me wrong - but from what i have witnessed for the past 6-7 years - HIGHLY unlikely

not happy but rather McMahon then our other soft left footers like Tivendale and Howatt.
He can actually hit a target, if he hits 2006 form again we will have a beuty on our hands

I think the fact that he couldnt hit a target at all in 07 was the reason he was de-listed.

A dumb move by Richmond.

Keep the pick, develop your own.

Morton was a good deal for pick 35.

This deal smells like poo to me. Lets not forget that at the end of this last season this guy could not get a game at stages in a team that lost its last 7 games by an average of 8-9 goals. And we throw pick 19 at him. Give me a break. And if it is true that we are paying him $1m over 3 years then we look even stupider again.

wtf does 1 player got to do with a team loseing its last 7 games and he can it a target unlike rains and johnson tivendale coughlan who hasnt played for 2 years his knee is ****ed get rid of him 4 god sake

Exactly right cant keep evreybody happy id like to see all us tigers rally together pack our games to the hilt and help our team get some wins and stop slagging them. thats what the opporsition is for.
