5mil for 6? Nah thats good business and value for the best small fwd in the game.
Bit different to 10 mil for 9.

Oh is that all? I thought it was 6 for 6. Fair deal then.

Yes, Kelly is the complete midfielder and should be rated with the absolute stars. Huge tank too which is perfect for the modern game.

Martin, Dangerfield, Fyfe and Franklin are the top 4 players comfortably at the moment. As for who is in that 5-25 range it’s a bit harder.
Rance, J.McGovern, Kelly, Kennedy, Kennedy, Daniher, Zorko, Gray, Sloane, Selwood, Ablett (injured though), Bontempelli, T.Mitchell, Laird, Rioli, Betts, Shiel, Treloar, Merrett, Ryder, Parker and M.Crouch are all in the next group.

Laird is a top 25 player in the league?

LOL

Treloar will always have great stats, much in the same was that Matt Priddis did. He needs to learn to kick to go from top 50 to top 25.
Agree that he could tidy his disposal up a bit, although as far as your ‘needs to learn to kick’ comment goes, he’s miles away from being as bad as some people say

He's not the worst kick in the game, but he needs to significantly tidy it up to be a truly elite player.

It's pretty meaningless to be honest. There's a clear top 3 midfielders and then you can almost throw a blanket over the next 10 and it simply comes down to personal preference.

Have you watch Laird play? Most dominant back flanker in the league by far.
Of course I've watched him play. I'm one of the many SC players that loves him and locks him. On an individual level, I think he's the best HBF in the league. By far? Nah. Docherty and Hibberd were also AA last season, and have something to say about that.

You've gone from 16 mill to 10 mill for Kelly, then you claim Toby Greene is the best small forward in the game.

It's good to have footy back

Bit of an overreaction to a very good season by the players.

A healthy Shiel is better than Kelly. Stronger in tight and more explosive from the stoppages. Coniglio isn't far off either, for any one game I'd toss up Kelly or Coniglio.

Kennedy, a fit Beams, Cotchin, there's a number of mids still ahead of Kelly.

Kelly is a gun but feel like his top 5 spot is maybe based (to a degree) on hype and his potential. Another big 2018 and could easily be in the convo though IMO.

Personally (bias aside), think Rance probably deserves a spot in that top 5. Been probably the best defender the last 4 or so seasons (only player to be in the AA team for all those years pretty sure) and coming off a season where he was voted AA captain. Then again, you can throw a blanket over the absolute top echelon of talent in the league so not an easy exercise to squeeze into a small group. Someone will always be unlucky to miss out.

Shiel is, yes underrated, but he's been injured which has fairly hurt his standings. Coniglio doesn't have the runs on the board that Kelly or even Shiel has.

I love Cotchin, but I'd take Kelly.

Fyfe needs to prove that he can get back to his best in the real AFL season. I'm not doubting that he can but on last years performance (which is well below what he's capable of) he wasn't even in the best 25 in the comp. Obviously the year before that he was injured so its been a few years 2015 since we saw him at that true elite level.

actually came 13th in the brownlow in a team that was frankly complete shit. His season only averaged 2 contested possessions less a game than his brownlow year coming off a broken leg. Definately top 25 in the comp.
