OK, I guess I need to spell it out for the weagle supporters, why the Bombers won't give them what they want.

All you are giving up is an injured star midfielder, if we give you Gumby & Ryder & pick 6, we are giving up two KPP, which we are looking at replacing Lloyd & Fletcher, plus a player in the draft, so effectively 3 players.

The weagles still have two midfielders in Cuzz (if he's not in jail or rehab) & Kerr.

So the Bombers are going to hurt more, because we will have a midfielder (if he recovers from his injury), but no full forward, or backman.

Sorry, that will set us back years, no Deal.

Back to the Judd saga. . . .Its UTTER CRAP by the person who started this thread !

Look out for a monstrous trade like the Darren Jarman or Wayne Carey deal. I reckon there could be the possibility of a team trading a couple of it's 3-4 year players to a team like Freo or Melbourne in order to get another high draft picks. These picks could be used to top up their deal made to the West COKE Eagles. . .It'll be an interesting trade week indeed.

sorry mate, i wasn't being smug...

Did you catch my response to your question, because you were spot on... :thumbsu:

No offense taken H2F. . . I did see that. I liken Kepler Bradley to a very young Spida Everitt and Scott Lucas. . .absolute unco's in their early years, but turned out to be handy players later on. I just hope that he develops a bit more. . . .time will tell.

I'd put the house on some idiot starting this rumour based on Juddy appearing on tv in that red/black jacket. It's totally ludicrous.

I doubt gumby and ryder would even be brought into the equation.

West Coast will obviously have to cede the fact they have to deal with the club Judd picks, or at the very least, one of the 4 that he has mentioned. I dont think he will enter the draft if the eagles refuse to deal with one of the clubs playing hardball. he will move to choice #2. That said, Judd will not leave the eagles short, but neither of the 4 clubs is going to be ready to sell the house for the shiny sportscar (forgive my analogy)...

The tall options at the dons are:
+Lucas. CHF, CHB, FF. Age rules him out
+Bradley. CHF. not so much CHB. not great defensively. Pick 6 KPP forward.
+Johns. CHF: The project player. Strong, quick and a good booming kick. perfect CHF player if he could get his game up.
+Hille. Slipping in terms of ruck ability, but agility, strength and set shot makes him a good FF prospect.
+Laycock. Ruck/CHF. Good set of arms and developing very nicely into a good ruckman. Future ruck prospect for essendon. Doubt he would go.
+Neagle. Young, Father/Son pick. will replace Lloyd in years to come. doubt either club would consider him in a move.

If essendon could make a move for one of the many ruckmen that could be available on the market (King, Hudson, Jolly etc), i could see Hille being offered to the eagles or shopped around for another pick.
I can also see Bradley merging into the deal with the 2 picks.

Ideal scenario for an essendon move.
Hille -> Dogs/Freo/other clubs lacking tall forwards.
That clubs first pick (hypothetical: pick 8)-> Essendon
Judd->Essendon
Pick 6, 8, Bradley -> Eagles.

Bombers may or may not be Judd's preferred team (IMHO that is crap) but he will be at Carlton next year, like it or not :)

There are gonna be a lot of shattered Blues supporters if Judd goes elsewhere. No doubt they'll flounce around like jilted schoolgirls if he does (just like Hawk supporters have).

God, I hope it happens.

Gumby cant be traded. He can only leave at the end of 2009. Otherwise Adelaide would be moving hell and high water to get Gibbs back to feral land.

How many times do we need to go through this.

ANY player can be traded.

The player, the club he is leaving and the club he is going to ALL have to agree to terms and it is a done deal.

IF 1 doesn't agree, it falls through.

Would Judd really choose a team without a coach?
If we wanted to, we could sign one of the 3 blokes putting their hands up for the job tomorrow, but we're taking our time to make sure we pick the right guy. Not to mention, we're apparently still waiting to hear if Bomber is interested...
