Judds Tackle.

mrp spends too much time watching slow-motion replay, and not enough time considering the ridiculous expectations their suspensions indirectly put upon players. like the bump. split-second type stuff that in the act of play is a world away from their frame by frame analysis. the illegality of a tackle, determined by having x arms free... it is ridiculous.

Agree, while I think what The Dark Old Navy Blues's has some merit, my only problem with it is, it's too subject to an opinion, rather than a real set of black and white guidelines, I think thats where at least the ares are free no injury had some merit. I think in a way, the hands being free can be important, in that it gives the player a chance to break their fall, and while might be a split second opportunity, I think the way they are going it's needed, and why Judd was fine in the end.

pretty much if a player is injured your in trouble, doesnt matter what happens these days. they talk about duty of care for your opp players but really anybody who takes on a tackler and gets hurt just like in the kosi tackle deserves to have the blame put on them. the MRP changed there set up to make it black and white on what you get for certain actions but then added in there laws to judge words such as level of excessive force. subjective terms really. how would this tackle cope these days
