Maybe for safe-keeping, that hotel uniform was eventually put in the same box Police belatedly found Bradley Robert Edwards Huntingdale artefacts in.

IIRC - It was never confirmed as belonging to her, but as there were only a small number of uniforms made and no other uniforms were reported as missing/lost it was assumed it belong JC as it was also the right size (16). It was not a complete uniform only the skirt and stockings (?) and was not handed into Police for aprox a year as it laid in the lost property box (?) at the cafe until some one realised its significance.
*It is not know how the uniform came to be left at the cafe, as it would not (?) have been open the time of night JC was last seen.
* I believe it may not have been JC's uniform as I would imagine, in her line of work at the hotel there would have been quite a turn over of staff and quite likely the uniforms would disappear frequently, even if there was a uniform register I feel it would have been difficult to trace it after a year had passed.

After hearing propensity evidence, at 19yo how bold BRE was, his history at Cottesloe Beach, mentions of Cottesloe Beach to a potential victim, swimming at Cottesloe Beach, his history with an older woman. The bag containing stockings and shirt etc.

Has anybody who previously felt BRE was not responsible for Julie's disappearance changed their minds to thinking, yeah maybe he could have?

Yes, I know I risk sounding a bit obsessed about this but:

Remember when BRE made up that ridiculous and totally unnecessary story to the cops after he was arrested and through the interview about being nearly drowned in a backyard swimming pool and how he's so terrified of water? And I went WTF did he say that for?

so according to this article, dorothy was grabbed after leaving the sheraton. does anyone know how far apart this attack was to JC going missing? does anyone have a description of Dorothy?

Dorothy was attacked three weeks before Julie went missing, this transcript from an old file.

28May88 - The 44 year old women had left Clouds Nightclub at the Sheraton, crossed Adelaide Terrace and got into her car on Hill st when at 1.05am man wearing driving gloves came from nowhere, like lightning and wrenched her out of her car by her hair.
What followed was such a systematic & sadistic bashing that police were to find clumps of her hair the next day amongst blood and pearls from her necklace he'd torn from her neck in his frenzy of pulverizing blows.
She believes he's in his 20's-30's.
He snarled "you stupid **ing *, you're going to die, you're going to die" over and over again, the words never changed.
He ground the abrasive palm into her face, Repeatedly punching her in the mouth. He bashed her against a brick wall, dragged her to a span of metal poles and beat her like a doll against them. He dragged her across the street into a courier car park, flung her face down and stepped on the base of her spine. He punched her kidneys and ground her face into the ground. Her bladder and bowels gave way.
He pulled her arms behind her and wrapped them in parcel tape stolen from the couriers. He tied the cummerbund from her dress around her mouth and then taped her ankles.
She thought she was about to be r*ped, instead he kept running the sticky tape around her until she was wrapped like an egyptian mummy, a cocoon.
He heaved her into the metal bucket seat of a small yellow car, possibly a toyota, when she heard the radio DJ say it was 3.45am.
She was thrown out of the car at Centenary Drive in Wilson where he ground her face into the blue metal, said "right ***** your dead" & threw plastic sheeting over her.
She listened to the car drive off, pulled the tape off and was found by a Swan Taxi driver who took her to Mount St Hospital.

seems like quite an over the top attack. with the level of ferocity it makes me wonder what the impetus was on the part of the perpetrator.

the account related above has no interaction between the victim and perpetrator before the attack, unless there was some contact prior? that level of carnage would suggest a high level of emotion in the attacker towards the victim, so unless the attacker was a druggie/mental case, or a case of mistaken identity, then it would seem to me the attack would be some sort of over the top payback for some sort of slight (real or imagined) to the perpetrator.

has there been anything released about Dorothy's description? did she resemble JC at all? is anything known about Dorothy's background?

2 weeks after Julie was pursued in her car.
3 weeks before Julie went missing.

Alleged witness that I spoke to who described the perpetrators at Cottesloe reckons he saw the smaller of the two outside a hotel in which he was working at another time, and a few minutes later a female employee running back into work describing an attempted abduction in the carpark as she was leaving.
He reckons it was around this era.
